    Can I share internet from my router’s USB to my RaspberryPi micro USB?

      Interesting question Eric. I haven't tried it myself, but I wouldn't imagine you would be able to share internet with it connected up via USB when the Pi has an ethernet port for that purpose. You might be able to access whatever is stored on the Pi though. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.

    What are your transfer speeds when
    1) HDD directly connected to PC
    2) HDD connected to router connected to PC via LAN cable?

    Can I plug both Ethernet Rj-45 Cat6 and Cat5 cables on the same Ethernet Desktop Port Switch from the Modem?

    • @KyberGaming47
      @KyberGaming47 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      that should be perfectly fine the only difference is the theoretical speed and cable quality, cat 5 e is standard now but cat 6 can give you better stability and bandwidth especially over longer distances

    Can I plug usb rj45 adapter directly on the back of the router?

    • @homenetworkgeek192
      @homenetworkgeek192  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're referring to plugging an USB to RJ45 adapter into the USB port, I wouldn't recommended it as that is not what it is intended for. I would suggest getting yourself a basic unmanaged switch to plug into one of the Ethernet ports directly if you find you don't have enough.

    My rooter doesn't have a USB. It only plugs into blocked drains to clear a clog.

    I wonder if I put a 150 Gb hard drive in it . Will it make the connection faster

    • @homenetworkgeek192
      @homenetworkgeek192  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The size of the hard drive you connect won't have any effect on the speed of the router or the hard drive itself.

    • @javianblake3875
      @javianblake3875 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@homenetworkgeek192 so you telling me the hard drive is pointless basically 🤔

    • @homenetworkgeek192
      @homenetworkgeek192  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not pointless as you can still access the content on it. It's just that the size of the hard drive only influences how much you can actually store on it.
