You are the man, bro I was upgrading my side blinkers and the guys told me to pull up from the corners, ended up cracking one of the mirrors, costed me another $125.00 at the dealer, Thank next time
I watched your video and then replaced my OEM (black plastic) mirror covers with paint matching (race red) ones. I started on the driver's side and everything went OK. But like you I separated the inner brace from the outer and had to put both back together on the main Mirror part at the same time. Getting all the holes lined up and keeping the LED light in straight was not that easy but after three or four attempts I got it done. For the passenger side, I decided to put that black brace on first by itself. I then screwed it down tight. After that, I snap the new outer mirror cover on without any issues whatsoever. Seriously, the passenger side took about 5 minutes driver-side well that was more like 45 minutes.
Good short and to the point video. I’ve seen a lot of 2015-2020 F150 mirror cap videos as I been thinking about replacing mine but all of the videos was long and sometimes complicated.
You can just use a trim pry tool and pop the Cap only part off the tabs are just pop tabs and you most likely always break them when you take it off but I don't believe there is a need to remove everything like that love how informative your video is
Thanks Victor!! The best how to I have seen in a long time. I'll be installing my caps later today when they are done and I know I won't have any issues.
@@bvbhu3dg yes. Oxford white. I got the caps off a wreck at the junkyard. They were the same color as yours. I dropped them off at the body shop the other day.
You can also remove the mirror assembly so you can put the mirror in your lap while sitting in a chair (indoors in the A/C). Just remove the small inside cover for 2015-2020 (not the entire door panel like 2004-14)
Thanks so much! I thought for sure I was going to break the glass trying to get it out. I think (hope) you just saved me >$700 for a new mirror. I crunched mine a bit backing out of a spot that was narrower than I thought.
1:21 Great explanation. This is the trickiest part of the job. BTW, eBay has OEM skull caps, glass, turn or puddle lights for manual and power-fold mirrors if something goes wrong :)
I bought aftermarket chrome but after 2 years they look like trash. So i bought OEM. They where expensive but worth it. Remember you get what you pay for. Aftermarket will not hold up after time. But thanks for the correct way to install them.
Also If you broke a power-fold mirror arm (or turn signal etc) you can buy a new OEM Ford 2015-2020 power-fold arm / bracket / frame on eBay for BLIS (Platinum, Lariat trim levels etc) or the non-BLIS mirrors with a mini-convex glass spotter.
Agree with others. you focused on the hardest part like showing close up of twisting it off etc. I still broke the stupid straight clip on opposite side you said to be careful of lol, Im impatient. thx
where did you get the Caps(covers)? Mine was knock loose, would you think repairing the cover would work, or should I just buy the cover? It seems like mine just snaps in. King ranch 2001
Followed your video to the t, and the up and down adjust function quit working. Took it off and replaced twice, still no go. I say don't do it. I'll see how much it will cost to fix at the dealer. Thanks for the try.

One of the best narratives that I have seen for any DIY video. Well spoken with tips to protect the parts. Well Done!

Agreed with many others opinions, you do a great job of verbally explaining the process and of how you did it!
Thanks for the clearer instructions on this..lot of confusing ones out there
Thanks Victor! That was a quick and accurate tutorial that kept me from breaking something.

I needed to change the mirror turn signal so u showing how to pop the mirror out was very helpful, thanks.
Np. Did it get hit? Or what is the reason to change it?

Nice. You can ask if you have any problems. Are you color matching?

Ooo this is a great tip. 👍
Thanks for the awesome video man. I am working on fixing a loose mirror and this helped with disassembly.
Thank you for the correct information. I just did the same mod to my F150. Looks so much better. You are correct, go slow!

Where did you get the primed mirror cap? My f-150 is rapid red also I would like to have a set of those on my truck! Thanks good job
Fairway Ford, on eBay, original ford parts.
Interesting, I was looking for a way to replace side mirror light. With a aftermarket one such as Morimoto. Since they have led ones.
I have a sound system in my ford and something in the driver side mirror rattle is there a fix for that??

eBay. From fairway ford I believe

O oh. The power mirror stopped working?
@@bvbhu3dg Yes. Like I said, followed your video exactly. Side to side adjustment still works, but not up and down.
I' wonder if I can just cut the taps off and just use double side type.
Where did you buy yours ???? I know eBay but what company
Yaklin ford is on ebay.
Can you add a Link to buy those caps?

Duuude!!You can order these already paint matched for $75.oo..and popping the cover off from the back is much easier
Nice. Show us how and where bro.

And yeah, it's a lot simpler to just pry 'em off with a trim tool.
Yes but his are actual Ford parts. These you gave us are knock offs. I’d rather have oem parts.

True, but if you like your truck and are a purist, it’s worth the extra money in my opinion. I’d just spring for the more expensive Ford pieces.
It was a good video but at the end he did not show the end result therefore he gets thumbs down from me
I showed it in the beginning... the passenger side was done already. I did the drivers for y’all. Thanks for watching though!
