Selena being there allowing Batman to be BRUCE and breakdown after losing Dick is what Superman needed after he lost Lois. Someone to be there for him to let him be Clark and grief over what happened. I believe Pa Kent confronted Bruce about this during the final annual issue of Injustice 2 (comic series) at a bar... Darn shame how Injustice would've been way different if Bruce and Clark had one solid conversation after the Joker killing.
