IRL the French expedition was a success and Louis was about to be crowned king when John died, so the barons stopped supporting the French and turned against them as the new Henry III was young and they thought they could manipulate him
I am a bit unsettled about Age of Empire IV because they claimed the game would be as much a game as an encyclopedia, in the way that it would teach history while you're playing but it is full of inaccuracies, omissions and errors. The term "Angevin Empire" is still debated and even anachronistic, and these maps are quite ridiculous. The baron rebellion is extremly simplified (no words about Bouvines, or how the continetal possessions melted away in lost wars) and the result is, as you said it, wrongly explained in the movie. Maybe it is a way to make history more intelligible, or to make the country's history more impressive, but I think it is a bad thing to twist history, especially when the whole points of this videos is to teach you history (contrary to AoE2 where the point was to tell a story in a historical setting, or just to tell a stroy as in AoE 3).

It looks nice and there is lots of good stuff, but the historical accuracy is nowhere near the level they claim it to be, especially in the treatment of the French
apollo! You can set your units to defend. If I remember correctly, the UI at the bottom left of your screen shows all the troop commands when you select them. The open palm is halt and the sword is attack but you should be able to defend with them. Play with it a bit.
So basically this like the merry band is the Robin hood's band, right?

I remember me resarching hot oil and constructing extra wall towers and springhold emplacements. .
I love this Age of empires IV so far! But can someone clarify. It is a modernized version of Age of Kings? Is the Conquerors expansion included, because some of my favouritcampaigns were El Cid, Djinghis Khan, Joan Arc, and the one involving the Azteks :D. I also liked the legendary maps with major battles on land and sea. Like battle at Lepanto or the Vinlandssaga with the Jormungandr. :) Also, can you still destroy trees with the catapult? :D
heyy you should look at the map for the stars since they guide youwith the objectives! Also u should get spears when the enemy has a lot of cavalty and use cavalry against archers first. love the videos!
My game crashes at the Victory screen of this specific mission. And everytime I go back into the game it starts me back at the half-way point autosave. Fun! Can't wait for them to fix this bug so I can get the main Campaign out of the way.

As the English you can use the Abbey building to produce archers 2x as fast. I saw it available a few times but you never clicked on it.
Campaigns and AI battles are my favorite, too.
The last upgrade is meant to be the first one you get lol

Dunno is it bugged or not , but when u destroyed one opponent camp , u auto win
Though will show as optional quest to destroy 4 camps in total . Easier faster way to win
Hmm I want future age of empires to have voice recognition to micro more effectively.. form groups of units and then give targetted commands to them .. like .. battalion 1 attack their rear ... Archers inside battalion one target their archers first then hit their siege equipments

Despite all its flaws, this game looks pretty fun, more casual maybe? yes, but I love the fact that you don't have to worry too much about micro, and I'm pretty sure that it's going to be competitive as fuck anyway so that's cool too
