  • First modern-day performance of Johann Sigismond Cousser's Birthday Serenade for Queen Anne, 'The Universal Applause of Mount Parnassus', written for the celebrations at Dublin Castle in 1711. Performed at the Chapel Royal, Dublin Castle on June 12th, 2015 by Ensemble Marsyas, directed by Peter Whelan. With grateful support from the Irish Arts Council.

    Glorious! Masterful performance, bravo, bravo Peter Whelan Ensemble Marsyas, thank you EnsembleMarsyas for this post. Johann Sigismond Cousser (1660-1727) continued, where Henry Purcell (1659-1695) stopped.

    Maravillosa obra, maravillosa interpretación, pero vaya mal rollo que hay entre la Bernardini y su segunda.. 🙄
