I am so addicted. After over 50 years of not hearing them, I can't listen enough. They were great in my youth, but I appreciate them more than ever now. They sound better than ever here! RIP Chuck Negron and now Cory Wells. See you guys on the flip side.

You look in any dictionary for the definition of “harmony” and you’ll see the same definition “Three Dog Night”. Hands down one of the best bands of ALL TIME!!!
Every time a 3 Dog Night song came on the radio I can still hear my mother at the other end of the house “son turn that loud music down”…and I would always yell back to her “soon as this song is finished”.

I think the main reason they aren't is they didn't write their songs. They were essentially a fantastic cover band. But still better than many that wrote their own songs.

Look i don't know why i have been obsessed with this group all of a sudden for about six months now. I have been avoiding watching this because i have been watching earlier concerts over and over. But oh my gosh they were fantastic always. Maybe it's my eyes but i don't see a big difference. I cry because i didn't get to see this live but I'm so happy that once there was a thing called Three Dog Night. I'm not much of a happy person but some few things take me there and 3DN for sure. Just had to express myself.

@Valerie very good. Life can really get you down and out if you let it. Sometimes, it just does regardless of how hard you try to pull out of it. Embrace the feelings though. After all, it's what makes the good days, the really good ones. There's not alot of positivity in the world today. All we can do is take it a day at a time, and try not judge ourselves too seriously. It's what you make of it. As an introverted individual myself, naturally, I enjoy my own company lol. So its really what you make of it. We do our best and take it however we can get it. Cheers.

Cory Wells ( Emil Lewandoski ) was born in Dunkirk, NY outside of Buffalo. He was always true his hometown roots, never forgetting where his real friends were. When TDN hit big, some of his acquaintenances there scoffed at their success, calling them “sellouts”. That hurt Cory for sure and in the end the group prevailed, heralding a success few Rock Acts have ever known.

Their music never gets old. First live concert of any band (including Zeppelin and Tull) that I couldn't stop listening to, even without the main dog Negron. 'Try a Little Tenderness' around the 45 minute mark is epic, a difficult song that Hutton puts his soul into. For years this concert has gotten me through the most mundane of chores and still does. Glad they were finally inducted into the RRHOF. Check it out.

I’ve been rediscovering 3DN for the past week since being holed up due to the weather lately!🥶 Been enjoying the wealth of videos on YT & catching up on the current state of things with the guys/band. Absolutely LOVED how the video cut in those clips of Corey singing Shambhala from the ‘75 Chicago Soundstage performance - wish it could’ve been throughput this concert. Sad Corey has been gone now for 8 years. Some may not care for the current lineup, however I can’t help but admire how they’ve carried on despite the losses over the years. A true class act of real entertainers & musicians then, now & for ever how long they can keep going.👍🏻🙏🏻❤️😍

The perfect compilation of Three Dog Night and the Tennessee Symphony--together for a history making event of unmatched performances! Cory Wells and Danny Hutton with supporting cast are---in a word: sublime! Every song a gem and their rendition of Eli's Coming reaches Heavenward! The opening for "Liar" is beyond words!!! Wells and Hutton have honed their considerable Craft into Diamonds---they never played so well as Tonight!

I absolutely love this band. They're the first rock concert I ever attended, in Milwaukee in the early 70's. Their warm up band was T-Rex, who were so bad people (including me) went out in the outer areas until they were finished, then came back in and enjoyed a super concert by 3 Dog Night.
Ironically I had been listening to this concert (I have the DVD) every day for 3 days when the news about Cory Wells came. The DVD has interviews and commentary and gives great insight to 3 Dog Night and why they teamed up with the Tennessee Symphony Orchestra for this concert.
    Shocked and saddened. RIP Cory.

Both Cory and Danny work really hard at using good vocal technique. Sometimes old rockers live off of their laurels and just sorta slide around and sorta hit the notes. If you watch (especially) Cory's face, you can tell he's often concentrating on nailing the notes that he's singing with good support and intonation. He's a natural, but he still works hard at it in this concert.

First band I ever saw in concert when I was 14 in 1969, I still remember they opened with "One Man Band". Fast forward to now, August of 2015, they're playing next Friday night at a local casino, debating whether to go see them or not....
I dunno if anything can match my memories of that first show when they were so big they SOLD OUT a huge auditorium.
I saw some video of their 2015 shows, just seems like they're going through the motions these days. But who can blame them, singing the same old songs every night for all these years?

    • @ritageller5429

***** Haven't you noticed that they are improving the songs since 2002. The hip hop version of Mama Told me Not To Come is a riot and they harmonize on the last chorus of Out in the Country. In addition there have been improvements to Shambala (Paul sings the harmony in a higher pitch).

The songs do not need to be improved. They've withstood the test of time and are fine as is. It's the current TDN lineup which is in need of a MASSIVE improvement!

I know Chuck was kicked out, but he still should have been with them. Read Negrons book Three Dog Nightmare.

This was great but I can’t help but think that it would have been so much better if Chuck Negron and Floyd Sneed would have been there too.

If Danny wasn't such a bitter one, he'd realize Chuck is a totally different person, and would let him rejoin .

+Robert McGee You are dead ass WRONG, Chuck had 8' Cory had 7' Danny had 2'. The other 4 hits were a collaboration of all three, a total of 21" .Get your facts straight Robert!

No one cares about Chuck! He had his chance to join the band. He should have taken the deal! Look where he would be today with Cory gone! His loss! The band is doing great so far with sold out concerts.

He had burned bridges. As far as I know, they never reconciled. He is clean and sober still, but he's definitely not the same guy.
