Nice job on the painting! That's a lot of work but I completely get where you're coming from, the Ford Escape PHEV we just got for my wife has hard textured plastic all around it and I'm mixed feelings on it. For how much the Grand Highlander costs, I think they should have been gloss painted from factory (probably is on the XSE right?), looks much better. Props to your S.O. for helping with the re&re.
Thanks!! I think they use it to differentiate their product tiers bc the Lexus TX, which shares the same exact wheel arches and plastic cladding, has painted finish. It’s just looks so much better and refined, too bad there's no XSE trim for the GH. Thanks, she's the best!
