I'm pleased with the entire saga and how far it's come from Rocky to Adonis. But during Creed 3, I did kinda miss Sly Stallone as Rocky. Even if he said he was done. Although he's a credited producer, I think he deserves to get the rights back to his creation. Considering having issues with the current ownership over them.
I think Micky missed the point Dame even said none of it was Adonis fault he doesn't blame him, yes actions have consequences but theres no way that that action should have 16 years worth of consequences (excluding the 2 he got for whatever happened in jail) because Adonis is as much if not more than a hot head because even back in the first Creed we saw him beating the shit out of someone for talking about his mom when he was in juvy and in this movie and in this movie we saw him snap against his abuser. Everything we now about Dame shows that growing up where he did he had that gun for protection he's betting on himself in fights walking around with who knows how much money but had plans of going to Olympics and was still looking out for his "little brother" who got the fairytale of getting out and being adopted into a rich family with no hate towards him
There was a lot of conversation about Dame being a hot head and someone who is likely to ruin his opportunities, but we also have to remember that the only difference between Adonis and Dame is opportunity. They both came up the same way. The difference is Adonis was essentially rescued by Mary Anne. Adonis is ALSO a hot head and has been in every movie. But he has a community around him that is able to reel him in and get him together when needed. That’s why Adonis struggled so much with Dame coming back. Because he’s just a reflection of himself and he absolutely feels guilty for being the one to make it out. Especially taking the path that was originally Dames. Dame is a relatable villain and the care they took with his story in particular is what made it so good in my opinion. I think Mary Anne keeping the letters was inconsiderate. Dame was family before she was. & I BET Adonis didn’t tell her that he started that fight. I believe she should’ve allowed monitored communication until he was an adult. She doesn’t come off as a Mama who is essentially everyone’s Mama lol Dame could’ve benefited from some motherly love and care from her. He’s just a victim of circumstance. A lot of times “bad” kids are just kids who need love.
That was definitely J. Cole during the montage when Navi called it out. He and Dreamville did the soundtrack! It's lit. I believe that was "Adonis' Interlude" (song title). I like that they mentioned the two previous sons and when Mary Ann passed I cried omg. Such a great film, I'm happy for MBJ and his success now as a director as well, I've always been a big fan. Tessa Thompson amazing as always. And Johnathan Majors just steals the show EVERY TIME. Waiting for y'all to do Quantumania.
There's not a moment where I watched this & thought, "God, I wish Rocky was in here." I feel like they'd be juggling too many characters. Plus, it gives a chance to expand on other characters. Btw that was J. Cole during the 1st montage.

Its also insane Donny didnt call or write to his "brother" for years and years knowing he got arrested by the cops. To me that means he did owe Dame something to some degree. While it is fucked up that he never wrote Dame, Adonis does explain that he was part of a time of his life that he legit wanted to compartmentalize and forget. Hell yeah go for the Karate Kid/Cobra Kaiverse! They are connected in that John Avidson directed Rocky, Rocky V and all the Karate Kid films. Bill Conti also wrote original score for both. AND - a Stallone film is referenced in every season of Cobra Kai.
This story of this sequel is very substantial with the growth of the characters. We all assumed what this installment would've been and it went into a much better direction. It does strike a chore with having 'Unfinished Business' in our lives. How far you go in what you do is one thing. But it's what you leave behind that matters. Jonathan Majors as Adonis' childhood friend, Damien 'Diamond Dame' Anderson is incredible. His grit, arrogance, pain and power are deeply felt. The training he undergone for the role is crazy focused. I can't believe his career has gone down the tubes in the way it did (damn shame). This movie was filmed with IMAX technology. So I saw it in IMAX as it deserved to be seen Every fight is leaps and bounds ahead of what's been done before. The mastering of the sound and picture needs major compliments. The best-ever opening weekend for a sports film. As an third installment, it lives up to every bit of hype it had. Mila Davis-Kent as Amara Creed was adorable and the moments of signing with her parents are so tender. Joseph Shirley's original score with the elements of the previous films is incredible. The soundtrack by Dreamville with J. Cole and others is a must have. MBJ's directorial debut is great and one for the ages.
I like the back and forth and critical debates they had about Dame and his motivations, good stuff. That’s how you know there’s good characterization in this movie
I’m sorry but the fact that they talked about anime more than any other reactor but missed all the anime references… nothing that happened prior to the last fight had anything to do with anime and they were like “omg he’s breathing heavily just like the anime’s” lmao

i like it but you have to also admit to the similarity to rocky 5 , champ comes off the big fight against Russian Drago then retires, then meets up with a hungry fighter with a troubled past you take them under your wing to train them give them a chance, but they don't have patience wanting the title shot now at all cost to friendship then they fight each other to prove who's best
The double punch also felt like a nice throwback to Rocky 3's ending scene, only we get to see the impact here. Rocky/Creed mixed with anime is a match made in Heaven. This movie was great.
Well what other thing could it be? I honestly haven't found anything similar in fighting style that isn't either straight up inspired by anime or inspired by something that was already inspired by anime.
@@yiledute a lot of movies take inspiration from anime. This is just one of the only ones where the director went out of their way to make sure people knew it was
Kinda missing the point. Dame was shot to a title fight off the back of a minor thing and opportunity like Rocky and Adonis - Rocky off of his nickname and an injury to Apollo's scheduled opponent, Adonis for his dad's name and Ricky Conlan breaking Danny Wheeler's jaw at the presser, and now Dame off of being an ex-con and former amateur champion with Viktor Drago being injured. The difference was that the others were circumstance and they rose to the occasion. Dame's "opportunity" was fabricated off of actual hood tactics, using prison contacts to injure Viktor - by far the bigger threat - and purposefully injuring Felix Chavez in a spar that he pushed for knowing he could weasel his way into the fight in Viktor's place by manipulating Adonis. And even his win was tainted by blatant knees, elbows, grabbing Felix's wrist and glove, and attacking the arm and shoulder he injured in practice. The others didn't "deserve" it based on their fight history but rose to meet it. Dame never deserved it, lied and used his "brother" to take a shot that wasn't his, and held a title he wasn't worthy of anyway. You can empathize with his backstory and his time in prison, but the dude was just a better version of Tommy Gunn except he fixed the fight himself to win the title.
Two things I loved the most about this movie. First, the fact that Adonis REALLY feels like he’s stepped into Apollo’s shoes. Not just as a legendary fighter, but as a promoter, manager, trainer, and overall boxing enthusiast. Like, the Donny we see in the beginning of this movie is VERY similar both in look, and in feel to the Apollo we met all the way back in the first Rocky movie. It feels really poetic. It’s also why, story wise, I’m honestly okay that Rocky’s not in this movie. Not only do I think that the end of Creed 2 was the perfect conclusion for Rocky’s character, but Creed 3 is truly Adonis’s film. He’s no longer the young underdog that needs Rocky’s help. He’s the Master. He’s the adult. He’s the family man. Like Rocky said at the end of the last movie “It’s your time….” And yeah it truly is. Second, and probably even more so, Damian was probably the first time in the Rocky franchise where we had an Antagonist with such a personal connection to the protagonist. These men were brothers whose lives could have EASILY been reversed had one or two things gone differently. That ending fight was honestly the most evenly matched one we’ve gotten out of this series and it was phenomenal. Rocky/Creed has always had the protagonist need to step up and improve or change something about themselves in order to win, but this fight was just these two Brothers letting out the lasts 18 years of pent up guilt, sadness, anger, and pain. Sharing it with each other the only way they knew how. Through their fists. It’s absolutely beautiful. Thank you Normies for watching these movies. It’s been an absolute treat getting to see you react to them all for the first time. Can’t wait for the next movie franchise. 😊👍
😂 y’all said “de-aging” like Wood doesn’t look the exact same as he did in the early 2000’s lmfao if you color his grays, he looks damn near identical haha
Michael Jai White in the next movie in some way would be fire. Older brother as a MMA champ that resents Adonis as his half brother because Apollo never mentioned hin etc. Fyi. You guys gotta react to "million dollar baby".
Watching it back knowing about the anime inspo, the last fight with no sound is def reminds me of the kakashi-obito vibe in terms of the significance of the moment for both characters and how tense and gritty it felt
I acutally think that the Creed and Dam punching each other moment is a reference to Goku and Majin Vegeta Punching each other. Plus Micheal B Jordan is Vegeta Fan
I side with Damian tbh, his life got fucked up and now he just wants to get back what he lost. He's still Donnies brother at the end of the day, and he's all alone in the world. I dunno, I'm on Dames side.
Same bro finally someone who isn't just blindly supporting creed cuz he is the protagonist and these reactors don't even wanna understand dame's motivation both the characters have flaws in them it's not like dame was the only one😅
Out of all of the Rocky and Creed movies, only 1 boxer ever died in the ring. And the guy who killed Apollo was on steroids. So I don’t understand why everyone was so sure Damien was going to kill Chavez.
55:55 When I watched it at first. I was afraid that someone was going to create a conspiracy that creed manipulated the events with dame in order for creed to get another shot at the title. That might happend in the fourth.
You all need to start reacting to Hajime no Ippo next. It's an incredible boxing anime and in my mind the best sports anime of all time. The show is about Makunouchi Ippo a highschool kid who doesn't really have any friends because he is too busy helping his widowed mother with family fishing business. Ippo is also bullied and beat up a lot. One day Ippo is saved from his bullies by a local boxer and from there Ippo want's to become strong and falls in love with boxing.
Dame didn't have Mariam to save him not a Dad named Apollo Creed. And even with those advantages, things could've still gone horribly wrong for Donnie that night. He could've gotten seriously hurt or seriously hurt someone else. He ran. The cops obviously let him go. There was no pursuit and Dame never ratted on him for first assaulting Leon. Not making excuses for Dame but I understand how losing your life and dreams for 18 yrs and thinking the friend you were protecting was the cause of you being there and he has never wrote or called....even after becoming a boxer..meeting Rocky...becoming champ.... That is a lot to have to sit back and watch from a jail cell and not be a bit bitter.
So much anime references especially that shot 39:35 is definitely from naruto vs sasuke also michael b Jordon is a big anime nerd so to the normies getting this now you know. Oh and his a big fan of dragonball z
the double punch in the movie is reference to the DBZ GOKU VS FREIZA its legit the same exact punch and i also believe they talked about it in the interviews
It is funny how Donnie and Dame know about that life as wrong as it is but not Suraj. Talking about giving the police the picture or giving Dame's PO a call about the gun.

So I saw it in IMAX as it deserved to be seen
Every fight is leaps and bounds ahead of what's been done before.
Love the Rocky/Creedverse films. Please do the Karate Kid films and Cobra Kai.
You also have Rocky 4 when Donnie runs up the hill and yells.
I like the back and forth and critical debates they had about Dame and his motivations, good stuff. That’s how you know there’s good characterization in this movie
I loved how this movie showed that fighting is more then just physical its mental and emotional, that last fight was a perfect example
Apollo and Rocky did that punch at end of Rocky 3. Goku and Vegeta did it too
I’m sorry but the fact that they talked about anime more than any other reactor but missed all the anime references… nothing that happened prior to the last fight had anything to do with anime and they were like “omg he’s breathing heavily just like the anime’s” lmao
I too laughed when I realized that Felix was supposed to fight Drago... 😂
@@ghostlee6434 Oh I have NO DOUBT that man could beat every actor's ass in the Franchise. But for the MOVIE. He isnt as intimidating as Drago, Damien, or even Mr .T
Micky out here looking to give out life sentences
Does Pat ever think before he says things
We ask this question everytime he's on that damn couch...
When he was like “YOU GOTTA DEFEND YOUR BELT, WOMAN! I HATE WHEN THEY DON’T DEFEND THE BELT!”….. I was laughing. Dude missed the fact that Adonis is actively defending his belt lol. Smh…
he would be boring if he did
Michael B Jordan is actually older than Jonathan Majors irl
28:27 "You got a license for that gun?"
- Suraj LOL YOU KNOW HE DON'T XD
ALSO, ALSO 39:37 THAT'S THE DBZ PUNCH FROM MAJIN VEGETA AND GOKU.
ALSO, ALSO, ALSO.. Micky the type to have to *experience* the justice system to get what ppl saying.
Dame Anderson has that “Balrog” from Street Fighter style… DIRTY BOXING!
Creed 3 is honestly up there for one of the best ones. Creed trilogy is amazing start to finish. Doesn't get talked about enough as a great trilogy.
Wood Harris is ACE from Paid in full . Please watch it
Is Pat purposely just trying to be the opposite of logic? Cause he really don’t know shit about anything as much as he acts like it 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie kinda missed Rocky in this one but i get it we gotta move on but hopefully if the franchise continues we see him again
Same. There’s be rumors he’d appear in the fourth.
It kills me how people try to foreshadow the entire movie instead of just watching and commenting on what they see.
But theorizing amongst friends can be so fun, its the core tenet behind big 'twist' movies and alot of other genres.
It’s getting worse and worse with all reactors. Especially reactions to TV shows.
30:25 I say it often and ima say it again, Protect Mickey at all cost 😂 a true gem that guy
Navi again with the musical knowledge with Kehlani
Boy, that "Baby Creed" taunt is like callin Marty McFly "Chicken"! 🤫🤫
"He's gona forget how to speak spanish after this shit" jajajajajajajajaja one of surj's best
45:27 George Foreman used that guard a lot when he returned to boxing, post grill.
i like it but you have to also admit to the similarity to rocky 5 , champ comes off the big fight against Russian Drago then retires, then meets up with a hungry fighter with a troubled past you take them under your wing to train them give them a chance, but they don't have patience wanting the title shot now at all cost to friendship then they fight each other to prove who's best
Expect this is 100x better cuz we sympathize with dame and it’s some who actually has a long history with our protagonist something we’ve never gotten
I like how despite the conflict Donnie still made good on getting Dame some money so when they did fall out Dame would be alright.
“AUSTIN BUTLER?? who tf is that?” I died
The style of Martial Arts that Dame tried to emulate is called 52 Blocks. It was arguably created in Prison
I'd make that joke if I was afflicted with deafness.
"Geez, y'all are SO F-ING LOUD in here, even I CAN Hear you!"
The double punch also felt like a nice throwback to Rocky 3's ending scene, only we get to see the impact here. Rocky/Creed mixed with anime is a match made in Heaven. This movie was great.
George Foreman was the only boxer i saw that use to block like Dame.
0:23 - Top 10 anime betrayals
For TV shows to add:
1. Kyle XY(3ish seasons)
2. Point Pleasant(1 season of 13eps)
3. Smallville
4. Buffy the vampire slayer
That double punch was when vegeta and goku were sparring and they punched each other at the same time
I just knew that if they had seen the anime comparisson online they would not think or say anything else other than anime inspiration...
Well what other thing could it be? I honestly haven't found anything similar in fighting style that isn't either straight up inspired by anime or inspired by something that was already inspired by anime.
@@yiledute a lot of movies take inspiration from anime. This is just one of the only ones where the director went out of their way to make sure people knew it was
“Where’s her other kids?”
“FUCK EM “😂😂
This is basically rocky V
It was a good run, we made it
for people saying Dame didn't deserve a shot like DID ROCKY or CREED they all catapulted to champship fights with nothng butt basement fights.
How did Adonis have a Naruto Shippuden poster in 2002?
"youre old and broken" then pulled an entire plane lmao
Wait… there was a Sequel to that Rocky Spin-off Movie? And that sequel got a sequel???
I enjoyed watching you guys' reaction to the movie.
Until Creed IV, Normies!!! 😬♥️
I'm upset that Suraj didn't know that dual punch was Goku and Vegeta not a rasengan and chidori
Ohhh shiiiit yeah the Majin Vegeta fight!!
@@Thenormies dumbass
34:47 Duke Sr. Told Rocky that. This Duke Jr.
30:26
It was a funny joke to break the tension of the scene. Whoever WOULD be offended needs to toughen the fk up! 😂
❤new Dempsey Roll ❤i love this anime, so good
Dame didn't have Mariam to save him not a Dad named Apollo Creed.
You are absolutely right 💯 but you might as well be speaking pig Latin to someone who doesn’t come from that life 😂
the guy that play felix is a real boxer and his name is José Benavidez Jr
Not ya'll talking through this whole reaction.
The put y'all cut out where he remembers getting up
Is my fav part
I been there ,where the rage goes into focus
Double punch was a Vegeta and Goku moment if I’m not mistaken.
So much anime references especially that shot 39:35 is definitely from naruto vs sasuke also michael b Jordon is a big anime nerd so to the normies getting this now you know. Oh and his a big fan of dragonball z
Rocky III is referenced with the double hit as well. This time we actually see it thru.
24:39 blud thinks he’s KSI 💀
Who tf is ksi💀
14:05 are you out of your mind?
Apollo died in the ring, Rocky took revenge for Apollo his best friend and this here is the best build up?
My list
1.Creed 3
2.Rocky
3.Creed
4.Creed 2
5.Rocky 4
6.Rocky 2
7.Rocky 3
8.Rocky Balboa
9.Rocky 5
I'm glad they actually brought the actual champ to the movie ❤️🇲🇽
the double punch in the movie is reference to the DBZ GOKU VS FREIZA its legit the same exact punch and i also believe they talked about it in the interviews
Sorry GOKU VS VEGITA *
@@TheWrs2609 just edit the comment, no need to do the star thing...
@@XMVario like to see my mistake
That round 11 fight gave me such obito vs kakashi vibes
It is funny how Donnie and Dame know about that life as wrong as it is but not Suraj. Talking about giving the police the picture or giving Dame's PO a call about the gun.
You wish for 6 Creed movies because there are 6 Rocky movies ... and then there´ll be Rocky 7 🙂
“Ima get my money dusting this mother fucker off you out your mind”
They didn’t here you spidey but I understand
