wherearetheskittles It's just this performance. Honestly I think it's one of her worst I don't know why it has so much love. She doesn't really strain that often but the tongue tension is always there. The straining effect on her voice isn't actually strain but a sound being created by tongue tension and bad soft palate manipulation. She actually supports a belt up to B5 but loses resonance at about F5 because of the previously mentioned issues. I've only actually a belt truly on a ridiculous Eb6 belt. However, she is my favourite singer and she probably would not be if she didn't have tongue tension, if she got rid of tongue tension her tone would change completely. Her tongue tension is what keeps her unique.
She has much better performances. I recommend you check out Spring Rain, When it rains on a Tuesday and A southern man and northern woman. I have a full playlist if her on my channel.
Am I the only one who finds that "walk" run from 4:58 to 5:01 somewhat different? Didn't find it correct though... But still, loved her performance as always... ♡
Susanna Williams well, it didn’t show up in her face, neck or even the audio, I have seen a lot of people nowadays singing with the throughly full with showing veins and singing with the thought fully relaxed is almost impossible. I just think that you have a very high expectation of singers 🤷🏻♂️

참고로 이 무대 보고 원곡자인 김종서님 감동받으셔서 눈물 흘리신.. 이 무대가 우승무대랑 표차 얼마 안나서 아까웠던ㅠㅠ 이날 김종서 특집답게 강렬한 사운드의 무대가 많았는데, 이 곡이 중간에 무대흐름을 환기시켜줬던 기억이 있네요.

Queen SoHyang 소향과의 가장 큰 차이점이 아닌가 싶어요. 무대에서 소화해내는 음역대는 주로 3옥타브 라~시 정도로 굉장히 비슷하나 박기영씨는 두성비중이 높아 갈수록 얇아지는 느낌이고, 비교적 소향은 흉성비율을 그 초고음에서 많이 유지하는듯합니다.
소향도 소리 존나 째지고 존나 얇은데 ㅋ 이영현 정돈 되야 성량논하는거지 ㅋㅋ
