You can really long range the spikes by shooting at your UCAV and flying towards vehicles.

You can lock spikes with binoculars and launch from behind cover. very effective in some situations

That inner wall that you have seen behind the driver that's actually really just a wall, since the Vilkas is based on the GTK Boxer, which has a modular design which means you can pick off the back part of the vehicle and replace it with a mission specific module, such as APC, IFV, armored ambulance etc. module. The Vilkas is a really interesting vehicle, I'm glad to see it in the game.
Wouldn't surprise me if we see more Boxer variants sometime in the future. Maybe the German army IFV with the Puna cannon or the RCH 155.

Idk why it took me so long to realize that BRs are rounded. Like .3 and .7 didn’t make sense, but they are actually .3333 and .6666 which get rounded to .3 and .7

It's also really important to note that it has a crewless Turret, giving you the ability to peak it over some rocks or hills and survive all hits basically, this is also helped by the vehicle being overwhelmingly tall

I really like how quick and stable the Vilkas is compared to the Radkampfwagen which flops all over the place while driving, making shooting when not standting still almost impossible.

Reminder you can launch redirect missiles on QN506 shooting your own drone and just flying over an enemy it changes the target lock...

Helicopters cannot avoid the Spike, at least when I use them in my eurocopter, they never miss their target not matter what the heli does
From what I saw when I was testing it in the testing ground the spikes are good for everything that are 350m and further but closer then that and it won't it or even come close to the tank
Hope that this vehicle gets some Lithuanian crew voice lines soon.

BTW you can lock missiles using binoculars in vilkas and fire spikes from behind cover
A good way of looking at it is asking if this vehicle fills any gaps in a lineup. It definitely does as there are no other wheeled vehicles in that lineup, finally people will stop bringing low tier Pumas ( or at least they have an alternative).

Higher BR than the 2S38 which has double the pen and faster reload. Makes sense
The Vilkas fires much faster, but it only has a 30mm cannon
Sad that the amap armor is missing and the spall Liner too
In my opinion its been a very balanced vehicle that ive enjoyed flying around the maps on. I even talisman'd it and got the leo2a5 and halfway through a6 with it.

I really hope we get Australian Boxer CRVs at some point. There is a version with and without Spikes. Has the same gun as the PUMA.

My opinion on the vilkas is its good if you can position your self properly but it can be fun to rush with it
Gotta love 4:15 Pars cant lock if something is having a small potted plant on top but the Spike can lock through trees without LOS (in the games logic).

The Spikes are great at long ranges. Got some spicy kills with it today
It’s also bullshit that they took the place to put the engine from the Merkava. It’s an IFV and most of them have their motor in the front. Just like the Marder.

It's the other way around, the merkava adopted the classic ifv layout
As a german main i love the vilkas a very strong and fast vehicle with decent survivability when i played russia 10.0 yesterday I got stomped by it because its too fast to get the gun on it as russian tanks have very slow turrets
A really nice event vehicle i think its price will be pretty high in gaijin market

First battle in it yesterday - I had 3 spike kills.
Not a single Spike kill after that, and I played it at least 15-20 spawns...

I play Italy and Germany, so I've had almost half a year of experience playing Spike and this missile is just way too bad for having so little of it and very few options to improve accuracy.
I would at least make the hit accuracy when firing it while stationary a safe one hit kill and keep the current random hit chance only for firing while travelling
Seeing how much of a pain grinding Germany is for me i'll get the coupon and perhaps sell it to get some higher tier premiums from marketplace (if it will be possible) to speed grinding other nations
by looking at my vilkas gameplay and this video i have the suspision that the spike has been nerfed, i only got hits and maby a crit here and there. and no change of a hit when enemy moves
How do you use that lead indicator? I have the vilkas fully upgraded and it doesn't do that
i wish the VBCI had the C T40 cannon instead of the 30mm bushmaster, i think it's quite lazy from Gaijin's part to just copy a gun, or they could add the 40mm version to the TT already

I mean its not a tank first of all, its an IFV. Lithuania currently has no tanks. I mean Boxer is German, but this exact configuration is Lithuania specific.
And you are absolutely on point that it is a Jack of all trade master of none, that's not a bad thing tho, it takes skill to be effective in any role but the fact that you are never in a position you simply cant win is pretty fun imo.

It is also still lacking its spall liners for the entire fighting compartment

@@daskollektiv4593 The turret is invincible to hits, never destroys the gun breach and the hull is completely protected by the engine. Its the most random tank to kill in the game.

I saw one in game the other day, some new player charged me in my m1 and thought they can fight me with a 25mm at close range. They died in one shot
I can't decide if I should keep it or just sell it. It looks pretty fun to play but Germany already got quite a setup at this BR

Keep it. Theres no other Spike missile vehicle for Germany yet and its a modern wheeled tank. Definitely enhances that 10.3 deck of Germany.
This vehicle is insane, realy. Excelent mobility, strange survivability (means thats more than i expected), crewless turret, 4 spikes (Very good btw), you can flank easily with it, and a good gun.
It's a support/mobile vehicle, you can get a good amount of kills and help your team without expose yourself.

@@MaticTheProto Interestingly, I didn't have a bad experience with the survivability of this vehicle, it could have been luck, but strangely I was lucky more than 3 times.
@@MaticTheProto I've had some really crazy luck with it, survived FFAR rockets and multiple APFSDS shots to the turret and sides. So far, survivability is pretty decent even better than the PUMA imo

@@RealOny nah. Not better than the puma. Obviously the crewless remote turrets survive a lot, but that’s not the relevant part, especially when the entire vehicle is so obscenely large. And the puma has way better crew protection

👍. I’m grinding this at moment.. seems like it might be a bit of fun. Question tho. If miss the first 2 grind levels. Can u still get it? I can see this vehicle being very situational, extremely useless if your team is mostly bots. Which I’m finding 9 - 11 are. Whether it’s players cheating or players that just shouldn’t be at those br’s. Idk.. the other thing I’m finding interesting. That players especially above rank 1, don’t know how to mark the map for reds..
You still can, you only need to complete 8 stages to get it not all 10.

Yeah I agree it’s good but very situational. I play arcade and the Vilk struggles quite a bit but in realistic it’s not as bad

Buying it nothing, its just getting the coupon after the 8th star and later on the crew which is around 200k
8k for just the vehicle, 10k to be able to sell it

Better BMP-2M characteristic, with fire and forget rockets.
Yeah, but the BMP-2M missiles dominate at close range, whereas spike missiles are useless within around .5km
This vehicle is not good. 2 spikes which 90% don’t work, big square hull, so high profile. Bad penetration with the apfsds. Have to get on the side and close.

WHY MY CAHLLENGE IS STILL 6 DAYS TO GET VILKAS, AND DONT EVEN SEE IT IN TECH TREE ???? AND OTHERS ALREADY DRIVE IT, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GAME !?!?!? Some people can add 1000 Prints and decals, me with premium only 6 ??? Normal I should get all my money and time back for this game, getting more ridiculous every week, camping maps, no Howitzer, but other useless tanks you add, and OP tanks for losers, and putting Tanks which are still in Service for Example M109, to BR6, which is easily a BR9-10 Tank, maybe change your employees or just end the game. Graphics from 10 years before, Buildings you can shoot trough, some you cant, nothing is realistic here anymore, but put updates weekly, nonsense updates.

This tank is very over br the gun is practically useless your gigantic so you can't hide and get around the battlefield you can't go all down cuz when you do your all your ammo will get hit Catch Fire and then you have absolutely no ammo left because it magically Burns all the ammo in the hall does Spikes are completely useless they travel too slow to be effective on any map it really needs to be a 9.0 or a 9.3 I want to play against 11.7 constantly you can't do nothing against them
