- Following the revelation by former Black Star's forward, Junior Agogo about being neglected after he got stroke, his colleague Richard Kingston has rendered an apology to him and his family
This goal keeper is humble and wise 👌
How sad! I reside in the US and watched him play in the MLS. in 2008, I
went to Ghana to watch the Nations Cup and saw him score a couple of
goals( I still got vivid memories of his goals and celebrations with
Essien and co) for our Black Stars.
I would like to thank him for his service to Mother Ghana and pray that God show him the way to a recovery.
A big thank you to his mom for being there for him. Mom, God bless you!
Junior,
I hope you forgive your national team mates for not keeping in touch.
They were busy pursuing their careers and money that they became blind
and deaf...
As to the Ghana FA and the Ghana Sports Ministry,
they have no excuses for not keeping in touch with you but it is not too
late for them to do so. You served GHANA so the government has an
obligation to come to your aid. Government MUST pay part of your medical
bills.
Agogo's case should be a wake up call to Ghana's Sports
Ministry to find a way to help its athletes after retirement or during
illness. I think a portion of the bonus of every player called to the
National Team should be put into some kind of fund which will be given
to them when they retire or when needed in situations like Agogo's.
Be strong fellow country man and never give up the fight! Once again, thank you for your service to our beloved GHANA.
Asec Mimosas U are right on point. Was thinking same
Not you and the players but the nation as a whole has failed because we enjoyed his service.
