My dad used to be a emt for southwest ambulance until he retired about 10 years ago but he said 9 times out of 10 when Tucson fire had a patient who needed to be transported ported they always called them instead of using their own ambulances at least northwest transports their own

This happens still, since TFD ambulances are ALS, they only like to use them for ALS transport. Thus, AMR is requested for all other transports.
