It’s hard to describe the white mountains and how the tribes have managed their wild game. The elk are absolutely amazing Jurassic park is often used and it’s the real deal. Their deer coues and mule deer are world class too. The amount of encounters of 350” bulls is staggering, but they achieve this by carefully selecting keeping wild places wild with no roads or access besides foot. They receive plenty of rain and snow and the animals can keep pulling down so their is minimal winter kill. This allows the animals to really mature and put on that mass. It is truly a special place for elk hunters, if you ever get a chance to go to it, you will not regret it. The only other place in the United States that produces animals like this is Alaska.

If we're lucky in Utah you'll get three trophy tags in a lifetime.
If you draw a tag you can't even put in for 5 years. Then it'll take 5-15 years to draw again.
