VR180 Drive into the thunderstorm

Today some thunderstorms showed up on the weather radar. So I drove into their general direction, and ended up near Utrecht.
The thunderstorm didn't really have a lot of lightning activity (though it did have some), but for those who enjoy a drive into a lot of rain, this is a fun video!
Best enjoyed on a VR headset such as the Quest headsets.

Why is sitting in a car the most immersive experience in VR? Does anyone remember the VR promo for the Goosebumps movie back in 2017 or so? It was just you sitting in the passenger seat with Jack Black driving and it was my first WOW moment in VR.

I guess it's because when you are in a car, you have a close frame (the car) of reference from which you can see the world go by. All that's missing is the sense of actually driving, maybe that could be replicated by a motion rig.
