I see so many “prep” videos online of people washing and storing berries air tight. I sensed that was incorrect so I really appreciate the clarity in this video.

Very helpful info, Jag. Thanks, you answered several questions I've had regarding storing fresh fruits. And your blooper cracked me up! 😄 I'm glad to see your non-serious side. 😁

Thanks. We buy a lot of fruit but have trouble keeping it from mold, especially berries. I buy raspberries, blackberries and blueberries and eat them in that order. I’ve read that you must wash berries before eating but after tossing out a lot now I do not wash raspberries or blackberries but sometimes do blueberries and dry under a fan and put back in same containers with paper towel in bottom. My question is, must you wash the berries?

It occured to me to try the paper towels with berries. It's helped with the absorbing moisture to keep them fresh longer.
    Great video. Earth science. ☺️

Hi Jag, haven't watched the video yet, I will. I'm wondering how you're doing after the flooding, is more water coming in? You do good, and informative vids. Thank You. Hope you and yours are OK, that includes the chickens, too.

Hi I have been posting shorts on youtube regarding the storms and flood situation which you might have seen, we have had flooding in 3 acres but I have been able to drain the water twice, might have to do again after this storm. Yes more rain for next 5 days. Fortunately, No damage from the flood so far.

What about bpas with keeping them in the plastic container? I think they are a 1 which is supposed to be one of the most caustic.

Tomatos change flavor in the fridge though, but still lots of good info!

I agree. Refrigeration destroys tomato flavor. Store on countertop.

Soggy strawberries are real! I know they all say wash before eating but they are already washed before you buy them.

For storing water - melon. Just take a plate and turn the water melon over it. And put it in the fridge. There is no need to put that plastic over it

We've been having blackouts & flooding with our two acres. But no damage.
Thank u very much for your videos. During the 2020 lockdowns. Your videos motivated me. I made a garden from an area that was dry & hard pan.
It was hard work & took time. Thank you again for your videos & everything u do.
