Very impressed with the miles on this one (and the total weight loss of course). Also love the positive attitude and small victories. You got this Uncle Paul!
Awesome! With each pound lost you are adding years to your life. I remember Dr Oz said - “if I can just get someone to lose 10 lbs.” Keep up the great work!
great stuff paul, i went out sunday and hiked 11 miles out to a campsite and got there with quite a few hours to relax before sleep, monday i hiked 3.5 to a rotted old bridge that was to weak for me to trust so i turned back, was going to stay another night but there was a big family at the site i was going to stay at so i hoofed it back to the car, 22 miles in 2 days, my feet hurt pretty bad after 11 hours of walking as do my legs and butt lol but muscle soreness motivates me. in 2 weeks i have a 40 mile loop so i gotta put in some miles on the uphills lol i used to walk 4.5 miles every day at lunch and loved it. wasnt great backpacking fitness but after a year it just became a walk not a workout and that i loved. im still struggling to get down to having my weight start with a 2 not a 3 but 13 more to go for that to happen. we have to keep putting in effort to progress with anything.stagnation is the enemy progress. keep up the great work.
Wow! Sounds like you're doing great. I don't know when, but am looking forward to some overnight hikes when I feel ready. I want to be ready enough so that if a big family camps next to me I have the energy "hoof it back" if need be:)
Good to hear from you. Yes, Miller Springs. Good place for training hikes. Last year I was invited by Ken Reaves and stayed at his campsite. I am not a hammocker, so don't know if they will allow a ground dweller reserve my own spot. Thanks for letting me know so I can look into it.
Uncle Paul Persists all are welcome. If interested just say the word and you can join me in one of my 2 reserved sites. I will tell Uncle Mike to plan on that. If you make it great! If you can’t, no harm no foul. Gotcha covered if you choose.
@@kinglonestar2760 That sounds good. I'll put it on the calendar for now. Would like to make it if possible. Last year I wasn't feeling well and didn't do much. I would like to hike some of the trails. Thanks.
Great job!! Enjoy all the victories along the way!
Excellent progress!
Paul, you are an amazing person. I am so proud of your dedication to getting healthy. God bless you.
Thanks. You are too too kind.

Good job on extending yourself. Great views too.
Good mid-week weight loss. And your progress is so heartening!
Great progress!
I remember that scramble up to the cliff. I wasn't sure I could make it before I tried. Congratulations and I 'm glad your goals are progressing well.
Fantastic!!

Hey Paul! Looks like Miller Springs Park, yes? Are you gonna make the Texas Fall Hang again this November? It’s the weekend of 11/13
