To me, Tuning stability / intonation is often the main difference between cheap and expensive guitars. And there’s only so much you can do with a usual setup. 🔧It sucks having sour notes in big chords or having to re-tune all the time. 😤
Yeah, it definitely is the most of the case. You can easily fix the sound but not so easy fix the playability and tuning stability
modern prestige ibanezes, fenders and gibsons.. tuning stability.......... played tod10 yesterday, qc was worse than one on an 80$ harley benton strat(it survived drop c divebombs with no setup)

What matters with a guitar is how it feels to play. Theres typically no problem with the sound of a cheaper guitar. If you can find something playable in a style you like, the cost is irrelevant.
This is the right mindset.
It only matters to the people that can hear / feel the difference.. which is typically less than 5% of your audience. It's all preference in the end, because you can make a great song with a rubberband and a matchbox, and no true musician will argue against that fact.
as long as it make sound, its an instrument
at some point whatever enables you to get the result you want, regardless how expensive/cheap the gear is , is all that matters,
if you have an idea to begin with you can probably make anything work, especially in a mix , cool riffs in any case

I just tidied up a Bullet Squier for an old fart I work with. It actually tuned up and played just fine in its dilapidated state.
Cleaned up the fretboard & frets, New strings, saddle heights and intonation adjustment. Thing is rock solid and was probably $199 new, even the pickups are alright

cheap guitars yes main problem noisy pickups, once my friend helped made a preamp built in a cheap stratocaster, it basically took all the sound register and double it to cancel out the noise, that become a very decently soungding guitar, I made tons of demo with that, keep it up!
Yeah, this one is pretty much good in every aspect like tuning stability, intonation, the build, except the electrical noise. But I’ll mod this guitar in the future

Playability is the key. You can kinda fix the sound , but it gonna be harder if its played bad
@@Zainmhz Well said, what I meant is the way you mixed your guitars (content in it's entirety) is top tier.
As you mentioned, it'll be hard to mix cheap guitars but then again you are really good in mixing.
