Earth is superior... winds can cease blowing... fire can be extinguished... water can dry... but the earth is earth. Rocks will remain, from dust to mountain... (my fav. element is still fire =3).
I still prefer fire. It is the only "intangible" "element". It is also a release of hidden energy in the form of light and heat and so is a symbol of power. Water is a symbol of resistance, patience and persistence as fire and wind can cause it to evaporate and yet it can wait patiently to turn back to liquid to quench the dying fire and will never be "put out" by wind. It can also be absorbed by earth, waiting to be released to carve canyons and valleys as water or ice in glaciers.
