    Very cool! Never been ice fishing but always wanted to. It's nice to see it in action. Thanks for the tips, too!

    Nice crappie. I have spent many long nights on Wilhelm ice. I love that lake. What amazed me all the crappie gets pulled out of there, and the next year there are always more.

    Love your videos! I'm currently a student so when classes pick up I don't get much of a chance to fish. I've still never been hunting but your videos make it look like a lot of fun. Keep it up!

    Crappies and Gills are a blast through the ice, best time to target them while we wait for open water big fish season :-)

    That first day was the perfect storm for fishing, warm out, pressure falling and starting to snow, those pan fish go wild in those conditions. That was a toad crappie you caught too. Second day looked beautiful out, not as many fish though, but nice to be fishing all the same. A little surprised only a few of you using the flashers. I wouldn't/couldn't fish without my vexilar anymore...Great video fellas..!!

      SwampDonkey530 More of us will be using flashers next season. Just took us many years to buy what we had and now we are starting to upgrade.

    Wilhelm is a great lake, seems that crappies don't have much size though. Last few time I was up there, nothing over 7-8". Shenango has some really good size crappies.

    I'm watching this just to feel cool. It's early July here in the south, 7:15 pm, and the temp is 90 degrees with the heat index at 97. But... It's July. It's suppose to be hot. Waiting for October to get nice temps.

    Man you gotta come to lake weiss alabama...that big one is like what I catch, but I catch 6-10 of those without a problem. Talking 1 150 qt cooler full of white and black crappie.

    Looks like you buy those propane tanks in bulk

    • @Leatherwoodoutdoors
      @Leatherwoodoutdoors  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha, I brought way too many with us that day. Oh yeah, when they go on sale its way cheaper than buying a big tank.

    • @tloutfitters
      @tloutfitters 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leatherwood Outdoors at no point is the green cans cheaper than the big ones....2.00 min each over and over and over....20lb is $40.00....one big one to buy...29.99 and to fill a big one is 10.55....so 40.54 cents gets you 20lb and 10.55 from there on out...another time your making up stories to justify how ghetto you look catching tiny fish

    i study fisheries in Wisconsin at stevenspoint "UWSP" and because off the PP in crappie its actually pronounced crop-ee so its not crap-ee just wanted to clear that up.

    • @Leatherwoodoutdoors
      @Leatherwoodoutdoors  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks. I always thought it was accent. Dont hear many people around here call them "crop-ee".
