I have an 07 AC 700 EFI purchased about a year ago. I have mine hooked up with a battery tender and have had no issues. We purchased ours for around 3.5k a year ago. I would list it around 4k and see what happens. We do a lot of trail rides, so a sxs would probably be too big. If you are only using it for plowing and such, a sxs would work fine. Good luck!
Is the light bar switch lit even when the quad is turned off? It sure looks like it in the video, but could be the lighting. If that’s the case, that would drain your battery over time
Very nice video I have 2007 love it I’m going to replace the timing belt I hope this weekend, this guy from UK he just starting making videos be works in this Artic cats all the time his channel calls AR.Mechanic
No clue, but more than I paid for my 1989 Polaris Trail Boss! I traded it for an '89 Ski Do snowmobile, which are useless for ice fishing in Southern Wisconsin where we have snow on the ice for about 10 days a year!
that battery looks pretty small I have the same quad diff coulors you're alternator is prob not good if the battery isn't charging it even sounds weak when starting you can hear it
Father in law bought on of these 4-5 years ago. And had constant battery draining issues. Now that he has passed on. My Mother in law just let it sit in the garage ( tired of constantly have to jump the battery ). Took my new 300 Four Trax into a local shade tree mechanic and he had one of the AC 500s. Same issue, except this owner added a toggle switch to disconnect the batteries ground when not in use. He was trouble shooting it for a few reasons. I am sure the battery drain being among them.
Man your really wondering why your battery is dying?!?! See that red light on your light bar switch....its draining your battery. You have to wire it into your ignition so it turns off when key is off. Going to keep draining your battery if it stays the way it is
Did you hook up all of these electrical accessories to key switch power, if not and you hook them up to straight power no matter what no drain the battery.
Will the instrument cluster the guage at the handlebars cause the at not to start ? My speedometer is completely broke and my machine wont even make the starter click to engage. I know you can readcodes of the cluster but just wondered if the cluster is ruined will it cause a no start?
Friend had same problem artic cat are know for that with battery try using a battery maintainer on it when not using it not a battery charger it works for me maintainer while charge it but not over charge it
If you are just plowing keep the quad, way faster and easier to get around. Throw a set of chains on the back and you won't need and weight or 4 wheel unless its deep snow.
I have an 2010 Artic Cat 700 EFI with 2 wierd problems. The first one is that when I want to start it, I turn the key and hear the gaz pump working. I try to start it and it will not. I shut the key off and turn it on for a second time then it starts. Why should I have to do it twice. The second problem is wierder. After riding for awhile, if I shut the quad off to rest, when I try to start the quad, the battery sounds very weak and it won't start so if I leave it for 15 or so minutes, and try to start it again, it starts. It's as though the battery has recharged itself on it's own???? Someone mentioned that he thinks it's the thermostat. Does this make sense?
I just installed an odyssey battery, and went overboard with 2 battery disconnects one on each terminal. My goal.. no issues all winter without using a battery tender.

Put a battery tender on it. Even better put a bigger battery, can fit over the rear axle.

Must be a common issue. I've had so many viewers message me with similar stories.
Usually there is a glitch in the speedometer and it stays on sort of other then that your lightbar toggle could be draining it.
i had a problem with mine found out that when i shut it off i used the kill switch and then turned the key off never had a problem since
It’s Electronic Fuel Injection. It requires a battery tender. The clicking, is it stuck in position trac?

The battery drained even with the light bar and switch not hooked to the battery
Have the same switch on mine for years never had a problem
My Arctic Cat's Rectifier was bad, and that is what made the volt show up on the screen.
I live in Wisconsin too, what shop are your bringing this too? I have similar issues on the same make and model quad.
Days in Bloomer
Can you post a link to the light bar?
Got the same tires and four wheeler

Where did you get those tires? Please let me know.
How do you change the spark plug in that 700 ? Thanks
You could say what the problem was in the title
I have the exact same machine. Also drains battery, added a kill switch
What light bar did you go with.
What would cause gas to get mixed in with the oil on my artic cat 700 efi

You may have gotten an answer but yes it will cause it not to start if the cluster goes bad I was told it like the computer all wires lead to it.

Check your ground wire and other battery connections

u don.t know problems until u get a polaris
make sure the key is out when not using, it will drain the battery
