Hey guys! I just wanted to thank you for positing beautiful videos. My now fiancé and I just returned from Oahu and did a few of your suggestions, including the San Bar. It was like heaven! We tried our very hardest to not be typical tourists and show as much love and respect to the land and people as we could. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Cheers from LA! ❤️
We have family in Oahu, so we go there almost every year and always go to the sandbars in Kaneohe thanks to my cousin. It is so wonderful to stand in sandbar two feet above your feet and just enjoy this beautiful paradise our Lord gave to all of us. Please respect the Island and keep it clean Mahalo.....
We will have to check out the reef! I heard there was a tiger shark nearby the sandbar a few days ago as well. Hope you got some great shots with your drone.
Tips: You can get a small anchor for your kayak, anchor on sand and avoid damaging coral reefs. Officially, kayaks are considered boats and require you to wear a life vest. Make sure you buy a kayaking life vest which is not bulky around the shoulders to allow easy paddling. Nice views, thank you!
Thanks for watching! It changes throughout the year so you'll have to check the tide report before you go. Check out this website. www.tide-forecast.com/locations/Mokuoloe-Kaneohe-Bay-Oahu-Island-Hawaii/tides/latest
We just came back from Oahu & already planning our trip back. Too bad I just came across your channel prior to our trip but definitely subscribing now!! I wish we could move to the island as well. Aloha!
This has been on my list to visit and hopefully this trip we will make it but I had not heard about the Hammerhead breeding info before 😳 Thanks for the heads up, still a beautiful area.
This looks so fun! I went on a tour to the sandbars 2 years ago. We are making a trip back this Sept and is planning on kayaking! When you get to the sandbar, how do you prevent your kayak from floating away?
This is the first video I saw that said that Lobster was good so I guess I will try it. It had horrible reviews on other channels. I also saw a lot of great reviews for the chicken & waffles but I was disappointed when I got it. Guess it depends on which batch you get. My favorites so far was the Impossible meatball & most of the items at the Brunch booth (besides the biscuit.)
K Bay was always the most desired post in the worldwide USMC. With the rock always desired least. After a year on the rock, many found the Vietnam war a step up.
Welcome to the channel! You can take a boat tour out to the sandbar instead of kayaking. It would be much safer with children. Thanks again for watching!
Great vid, thank you. Been to Oahu a couple times, but didn't get to go to Kane'ohe Bay. Will add that to my bucket list for next time ... the kayak was a smart idea, as you both were able to walk across the whole sandbar. Thx for telling about the drone fly zone area. Restaurant looked great too, adding it to my list. Was in Kaua'i in Feb, and really loved that island. Hoping to retire there or Maui.
Yes we really liked the sandbar, you should definitely try to go there if you can. We also planned a trip to Kaua’i, so it’s good to hear that you liked it (that will be our first time there). Mahalo!
@@DennyandNikki Thanks ... have those on my list for Oahu. I stayed in the Koloa when in Kaua'i ... very nice little town. Did horseback riding along the beach and up into the countryside at CJM Stables at the end of Po'ipu rode in Koloa ... highly recommend it. Keoki's Paradise is a very good restaurant in that area, same as La Spezia (Italian) in the town. You'll love Wailua river and falls, Waimea canyon, the Na Pali coast and State Park, etc.

Hey great video you two! Denny did you have to get your drone license to be able to monetize your videos? I’m just curious I’m wanting to make my own travel channel and use drone footage.
Would you recommend reserving a kayak days in advance or same day? I'm looking at Kailua Beach Adventures too and flying into Oahu next week! Thanks! Awesome videos by the way!
We have done both. Where we reserved it a couple of days in advance, or just walked in. I would say to make a reservation if you can. We are seeing more tourists lately :)
Thanks for watching! I currently use the Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI and really enjoy it! I think the DJI Mini 2 is also a great option for video. I don't think you can go wrong with the DJI products. And then Nikki edits the colors a bit afterwards. Hope this helps!

This looks so fun! I went on a tour to the sandbars 2 years ago. We are making a trip back this Sept and is planning on kayaking! When you get to the sandbar, how do you prevent your kayak from floating away?
We had to hold onto our kayak while we were walking around the sandbar. Nikki finally just got in and floated for a while.
You can actually rent an anchor for ~$5 to prevent the kayak from floating off. This way you don’t have to drag it around the whole time. Maholo

This video was great. One question, how would people access the sand bar if they don't own a kayak?
You can easily rent a kayak from several companies. They will provide you with the stuff you need, to transport the kayak on your car!

Aloha! We always have a wonderful experience with Kailua Beach Adventures. They are very knowledgeable and have great customer service.
Hi there! How long did it take you to kayak to the sandbar? When I search on google, it says 30 min. Is that really the case?
So, are hammerhead sharks a continual issue all over the island or just in that sandbar area? Also, is it just an issue during parts of the year or all year round?
Should I pack bug spray? Lol paranoid of getting bit by mosquitoes 🦟
Nikki's paranoid about mosquitoes too! It wasn't a problem on the sandbar visit though.
How hard is kayaking to sandbar? I can swim well, but just not sure how strong/scary the current feels in a kayak.
We did not experience any strong currents or waves, it is more protected in the bay. Compared to the mokes, this one was pretty easy!
