+asrul safwan By category no doubt CX-3 should be comparing with HRV, but there's no point...with the price introduced in Malaysia for CX-3, might as well get CX-5
+asrul safwan Oh my god are you guys stupid or something. That was the whole point of the video. They are comparing the HR-V, the segment leader, to other options, namely the CX5 and Sportage, that have been priced down to see if the HR-V is able to punch above its weight. Yes the other two are from a bigger segment and that is why they have beaten the HR-V. Because they are better bang for the buck. As far as segments go, the HR-V is still the best B-segmenter.
I appreciate journalists that make an effort to tell a story instead of just reviewing the cars and you guys did a very respectable job of doing that. Keep it up guys! HR-V is SUCH AN average car that is fabricated to meet market demands. P.s. Cabbage for the win
HRV engine is very revvy when the tranny is put on S mode. Suspension is hard but once seasoned, after 15 to 20 k km, is actually quite bearable. Agree Mazda is all rounder esp in terms of handling and steering feel. Korean cars , like Kia tend to have lighter steering feel , which is good for city driving and esp when you are parking the car in tight places , i.e. shopping mall.
That isnt a GL. It's the top spec CX-5 fwd that costs 149k. GL does not come with headlight washers, and adaptive front lighting system with Bi- Xenon etc etc.
props to the creativity in reviewing the car, but its better to put a label on the car when reviewing it, it feels jumpy the whole video, ppl tend to lose track on which car is which haha... but still good job! keep up!
not bad review! one thing that should add is drag race. even though they're not that fast, it's still fun to watch budget cars being pushed to their limits.
hi I just wanted to tell that you all should have compared the hrv with subaru xv and Mitsubishi asx as there are more better competitors . The mazda is a higher price range and the Kia is to big to compare with hrv. I hope you guys will re do or don't make this mistake in future videos. Tq
I am your TH-cam channel fan from thailand . This episode is great and the 3 gentlemen there have done a great job. Perhaps if you could do a comparison test between c class, 3 series, A4 and the latest jaguar XE?
In the previous video where DRIVEN did a test on CX-5 vs Kuga vs CR-V, it stated that the Mazda CX-5 had 17km/l but in this video it's numbers was drastically decreased to 10.9 km/l. Any reasons?
GREAT to see Jonathan "exacting his so-called revenge" on Sam Loo for "liking his apparently BIG hair" in the final episode of last year's Driven series - wahahahahahahaha!
Thanks for doing this video! Its funny and well done. Its helpful because i was looking for comparision between hrv and cx5 since i tried cx3 and i didnt its size.
how come the HR-V is being compete with CX-5? It should be the Peugeot 2008 with same segment and close price range or the entry spec ASX atleast with similar price range.
+xiper86 ASX GL, the entry-level spec is way too expensive for its worth - only three front airbags and NO side curtain airbags at all, and heck, NO ESP & traction control (GL and the 2WD) - the best safety features are only 4WD instead........Peugeot 2008 1.6? 118bhp with 160nM - expect kiasu speedster Malaysians to ditch this kind of engine specification, to be honestly speaking :P :P and yet, loses out to the top-spec Ford EcoSport 1.0T which sports 123 bhp and 170nM (cheaper than the 2008 in M'sia)
are you sure about the amount of fuel consumption...last time Driven test the honda crv vs mazda cx5 vs ford kuga....crv 2.0 manage 18.3km/l but this hrv only manage 12.2km/l...
I wonder why you did not show the magic seats? That's the main reason I bought the HR-V.... In my country, both the Mazda and Kia are much more expensive than the HR-V, which is a much better deal.
I know it's late. but You were pronouncing it correctly. These kids don't even know how to pronounce names and they review cars. It's indeed pronounced Spor-Tage
Different category, as I believe HR-V should be compared with other model such as CX-3
Agree with you +asrul safwan
Agree! Cr-v should be in consider for this segment
+asrul safwan By category no doubt CX-3 should be comparing with HRV, but there's no point...with the price introduced in Malaysia for CX-3, might as well get CX-5

Good straightforward presentations and talented presenters. Makes this video kinda fun-filled and very informative... I give 5 star.
Is it just me, or is there a significant improvement in this episode over the previous one? Well done to you guys, looking forward to more.

HR-V is SUCH AN average car that is fabricated to meet market demands.

Great show as always, guys. But I was expecting a Subaru XV in this episode too. Like a Paul Tan cameo at the end rolling in in a subie xv.
Sportage my choice..

actually Adrian Greg did it quite well, improved a lot compared to first episode. anyway, any combination is fine to me. keep it up.
That isnt a GL. It's the top spec CX-5 fwd that costs 149k. GL does not come with headlight washers, and adaptive front lighting system with Bi- Xenon etc etc.
Definitely going for Subaru XV over this 3 cars anytime
agree!
compare hrv with Cx-5?? u guys must be kidding..
Much better presenters this season. Adian's a natural.
Thumbs up! But i still want harvinder
+Seri Mahkota iriz 1.3 vs axia vs picanto for yhe nest episode
+reynold clio can find myvi vs picanto vs mirage in roda pusing.
+Seri Mahkota i prefer hafriz...LOL
+ChunWei Chong indeed...hafriz also good presenter
+Seri Mahkota hahahaha
hopefully your team can review new Kia Sportage 2016 in Malaysia.. thanks 🤗🤗🤗
so... worst fuel consumption, zero steering feel, underpowered transmission and slightly comfortable make KIA second?
+DaydeSIANG not to mention the the painfully low resale value... -_-
props to the creativity in reviewing the car, but its better to put a label on the car when reviewing it, it feels jumpy the whole video, ppl tend to lose track on which car is which haha... but still good job! keep up!
I'm not sure how you can accurately compare the CX-5 and the HR-V - vehicles from different segments
nice review, I like honest review with both positive praise and precise critic, well done , good job about the kids, it made the video more funny
not bad review! one thing that should add is drag race. even though they're not that fast, it's still fun to watch budget cars being pushed to their limits.
You left out something, CX-5 is bulky, after a year of driving one, you would get fed up with the bulk. Which is not used 95% of the time.
hi I just wanted to tell that you all should have compared the hrv with subaru xv and Mitsubishi asx as there are more better competitors . The mazda is a higher price range and the Kia is to big to compare with hrv. I hope you guys will re do or don't make this mistake in future videos. Tq
+REYHEN ROHIT RAJ Better they DO IT IN 2016 mann....hehehehe
I am your TH-cam channel fan from thailand . This episode is great and the 3 gentlemen there have done a great job.

Antara suv semua ni,aku memang tertarik dengan kia sorento je,serious talk, sebab design n harga dia puas hati
Sorento?
Loved it!! Thumbs up from me. Great job guys! :-)
Paul don't make another video until you get back the old line-up...Pleaaaasseee.... Tak teruja langsung lah bro these 2 new episodes....
I am not really a fan of SUV,but what is their specialty it's like:
MPV+Hatchback=SUV
Hrv looks really good.
why not cx-3?
So don't compare it with these two, made you looks so unprofessional.
these cars are decent. but if I were you. I would get the E320 version of the W210 (7:36) for less than half the price of the HR-V
how come the HR-V is being compete with CX-5?

Great review thank you.
Really nice review, you guys have these fool jokes that are actually fun to watch! Nice review!
I guess it supposed to be mazda cx3 not the cx5.. cx5 is crv rival not the hrv
Mazda CX5 is far better than HRV or Sportage
haha! good one Paul and team. Btw, when is the episode that do about myvi and iriz? probably with jazz? hehe
I know I am quite off topic but does anyone know of a good place to watch new series online?
@Edwin Leroy lately I have been using Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Aron Ernesto definitely, have been watching on FlixZone for years myself :)
@Aron Ernesto Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it!!
@Edwin Leroy Glad I could help :)
Isn't cx5 competes with crv?
why not compare hr-v with cx3 and asx?
WHAT ABOUT MAZDA CX 2.5 FULL SPEC VS KIA SPORTAGE 2.0 4WD FULL SPEC
should have included a Subaru XV into the shootout, a base model's pricing compares quite competitively against these three if i'm not mistaken.
no matter large or small suv, I prefer one with at least 4wd.
Actually 4wd is useless in KL. SUV can give us a good view while city driving. 4wd better in Sabah or sarawak.
Boon Xuan Chin 4wd is useful when balik kampung.
capespring Not all ppl kampung inside jungle. My kampung in Melaka country side but still no need off road
Boon Xuan Chin then you don't need 4wd
At 0:02 that is the original composition of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. But what is the title of this music?
are you sure about the amount of fuel consumption...last time Driven test the honda crv vs mazda cx5 vs ford kuga....crv 2.0 manage 18.3km/l but this hrv only manage 12.2km/l...
Any chance of producing a supercar head to head review ?
goodjob.... quality content
Would like to see a hatchback shootout! Fiesta vs Jazz vs Kia Rio vs Pug 208
And Bring back Harvinder!!
+Dominickson Peter - we have to keep pushing Harve and Paul for this year.....
totally out of category and the Sportage has a new model out there.
Clearly, the Pontiac Aztek won this segment
Harvin Shud be featured in every episode
Jo, makin sihat nampak.
Funny parts comes when the truck was flashing the mazda at 11:06
maybe should compare mitsubishi ASX vd mazda cx-5 vs kia sportage
why not compare with suzuki S cross or Renault Captur
Why disable likes and dislikes?
Where is the Subaru XV?
May I know why the CX5 and Sportage are so much cheaper now?
Brand
Yes it cheaper now. Can buy now.
thats the main criteria for this type of vehicle for moms ferry their kids not handling
Yg lbh cocok hrs nya Honda CR-V 2.0 yg di komparasi
i want harvinder! i want hafriz!!
"Better lat(t)e than never" thats funny lol
I really miss Harvinder..anyway..good job boys
HRV is B-segment car, not fair!
why not CX-3 ?
You should do cx3 vs hrv vs subaru xv
I wonder why you did not show the magic seats? That's the main reason I bought the HR-V.... In my country, both the Mazda and Kia are much more expensive than the HR-V, which is a much better deal.
why not mitsubishi asx..??
@06:33 the kids are cute anyway haha
Your conti shot are all messed up.
I recommend my car hrv after modifications
drive a sportage awd 2l turbo u'l give different opion about sportage
what you guys gonna do with the duplicated kids ?
i pronounce kia sportage as spor-tej.. haha.. now i know how to pronounce correctly
+gpctrs jr spor-teach
I know it's late. but You were pronouncing it correctly. These kids don't even know how to pronounce names and they review cars. It's indeed pronounced Spor-Tage
th-cam.com/video/NNcdfqNTvQo/w-d-xo.html
Cx-5 and Kia Sportage hm... It should compare to crv- not hrv. IMHO
cx5 not even same class as hrv. it should be cx3
Agreed, Paul Tan make sure you comparing the same category of cars. Lucky u didn't put a Lexus RX350 in this video.
Sportage ❤️
Hrv is no comparison to a cx5 or Hrv is a small suv. Its like comparing a cx3 to a toyota kluger
Should compare hose to a CR-V, not an HRV
I enjoyed watching this 😂
that's why HRV need to bring back paddle swift.. overseas all the honda gets paddle swift..
I fee that driven review is getting too relax and make people sleepyh
So they just leave the kids there? haha.
Nice simple review.
Whaaahaaahhahh! Wow Jonathan you just got freaked out from the boy huh
Where is Nissan X-Trail ??
+Mizter King II Different price scheme - way too expensive in comparison with the three cars reviewed in this video
i think hrv has the best looking among these three...
you should have compared it to a cx3.
I do wish the screen got minecraft lol
B-segment SUVs VS C-segment SUV's? seriously?
Adian is a good presenter. He should be made permanent.
EV? meaning you getting a tesla?
what about the ASX? They released a cheaper version with new paint
hrv and sportage are in different class with cx5 -_-
do you even CRV
New EP please
I do not understand how can a Kia can win honda?? are we nuts?
a thing can be changed with a time....:)
hari hari cx5 .. see dao also sien liao
Hrv should be compare to same cc 1.8
Hr-v should be compare with subaru xv
but, the world best crossover car is Mazda CX-5
