New Years Day, we would capture northbound i8R (extra 28R) (Atlanta, GA to Rutherford, PA) also combined with 24X, coming by CP Taylors with a AC44C6M leader and a GEVO ES44AC 2nd, pulling a decent sized freight, as they head north to meet southbounds 243 and 153. After that, southbound 243 (Charleston, SC to Atlanta, GA) intermodal makes its way south with a pair of dash 9Ws at the point, with the Engineer GOAT, at the throttle giving me a nice wave and a horn show, as they diverge over to main track 2 by CP Taylors, headed to Greenville. Shortly after, we have another southbound, 153 (Linwood, NC to Birmingham, AL) mixed freight, with a pair of AC44C6Ms, including "Moving the Weight of the World, " #4822 2nd, ex NW SD40-2 3rd, with the NW on the nose, and SD40-3 4th, all head end power, pulling a short freight after departing Hayne, and following behind 243, as they're also headed to Greenville to swap crews. Last train would be southbound L799-01 (Spartanburg, SC to Greenville, SC) local on the AKL Line Belton Sub, with a pair of GEVOS ES44AHs, pulling a short freight, bound for Greenville. Enjoy!
