the mac foundation, is that the general color/shade/tone, you would use on most of your competition clients?
It's what matches most Jan Tanna color for medium skin tone. I'm going to be trying a lot of new colors this spring and will most likely do an update video on what I like. Thanks :)

What do you recommend for someone with crazy oily skin since these competitions last literally all day & into the night? By the time the evening show for the crowd happens my face will literally look like I wiped a layer of olive oil on it & I'm NOT joking. It is awful & that has me very worried.
Hi there! Sorry for the delayed reply! Use milk of magnesia under your moisturizer. There's one from Embryolisse that helps keep you matte as well. I apply the magnesia with a sponge or brush in a semi-thin layer and it's worked perfectly every time :)

Hi there! Few years later, and I've found your video! I compete next Saturday, and I bought L'oreal Pro Glow (I have crazy dry skin and the matte was too much for my skin) in Cocoa...what are your thoughts? Trying not to spend a fortune, and the spray tan makes me break out :(
Hi Jenn! Oh man, this is a crazy-outdated video for me! Hahaha. I haven't used the L'oreal. But if your skin is super dry, I would have you do 1-2 gentile exfoliation treatments this week and a couple hydration masks after. Make sure you're using a very deeply hydrating moisturizer day and night as well. For my clients with very dry skin, I use the Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation. I would have you go to Sephora and get a sample of G70 + G90. That will be more than enough to carry you for the day. Plus, you don't have to spend more money! The tricky thing with many drugstore brands is that they can often be very pink or orange undertone. And neither works with most competition tans. But I've found Cover FX to be the most reliable, skin-like, and it's cruelty free! You can skip tanning your face if you have the right foundation and use 1-2 layers. I think it is so freaky how scary you looked when you just had the eyeshadow on and then you put on that superduper dark foundation and I'm getting really scared and then... pooff! You turn out looking normal?! The magic of makeup...
