My fave watch when traveling... Keeps accurate time, no worries if gets scratches, lost or stolen... Maybe the only negative thing about the watch is it does not have any sort of lume in dark situations...
I wouldn't try replacing the strap on models like this. I recently bought a "silver" one that looks pretty cool, but I wanted to try a Bond strap on it. The overhang of the face over the lugs is just too great. The springbars are really recessed in there. The strap would have to be darn near paper thin and at that point I'm not sure you're going to find anything that looks significantly better than the factory strap.
It's a great watch and I loved it's simple elegant look. For me it just wasn't durable. Spend a couple more bucks for the mrw200 for better durability as a beater watch.
@14:10 With a G-Shock or Protrek it is pretty simple, you move to the minute mark, get to the next digit and zero out the seconds unti the second hand of the reference watch reaches the 60 seconds mark - the 12.

I would say no. The case is too delicate. For me the strap pin holes would rip out rendering it unwearable. The mrw200 is a few bucks more and near g shock tough. I've had the same one for six years that I can't break.
