Jack with all due respect the concept for cycle carts is more about the pride of building not buying. You’re doing a wonderful job to get the buggy’s right & responsive, that is part of the experience as well. My advice for what’s it is worth and I respect you may see it different, just don’t be a “show boat” at an event. Your paired with others building/racing on limited resources. Cycle cart events have nothing to do with who is fastest there is no trophy. $$ buy speed, $$ buys perfection, it’s more about the cycle cart community fabricating with the resources each have. I’m new to cycle carting myself, winter build. As a machinist at heart, barn full of anything/everything metal working I could build a sneak 30hp sophisticated buggy but why it defeats the objective. Keep up the good work, stay with it and I do enjoy your vid’s.
How can you presume to tell Jack what the point of a hobby is? The pride of the hobby for your is the build, perhaps for him its the modifications, the speed, the tinkering?
I agree that this is a "gentleman's" sport and speed isn't the goal.... but I also am a gear head and love racing. I believe there should be classes developed by the community for this reason. The Stevenson formula should have its own class, a gentleman built/no trophy type class, and there should be classes for weight, top speed, engine classification, etc. Because in my opinion, a selectable shift (motorcycle or 4 wheeler gearbox) would be so much fun in one of these races, and I know some folks will disagree, but many might agree. I believe we need classes is all.
@@JackCecil It's morons like you that necessitate rules that limit everyone. And with that attitude of "it's ok to be slower than me" you may enjoy cyclekarts, but you definitely don't belong. Have fun running your kart by yourself.
You better have on a scarf and aviator goggles! Possibly a pipe! I ran e98 with a $30 gx160 head off amazon and no HG in mine. Gave a healthy comp bump. WB02 and a 8hp N20 shot as well. (mini bike drag stuff) Played with a lot of TQ converters too. Even the juggernaut slipped on me up top. Real clutches were always quicker mid and top range, just didn't launch as well. Good luck!
Well now I'm just living vicariously through you... This was fun. I can't leave anything well enough alone, always modifying, so great to see your ongoing efforts with this project
The driven side,, there is an adjustment for the spring, i think 3 adjustment positions and you can also get a few strengths of springs too, denoted by their different colours. These different springs and positions govern the rate of expansion/ contraction of the driven plate assy.
Im making a smaller more basic version of this using a sit down bike that i got for free but it will have 4 wheels instead of 3! I dig your cycle cart doode!
I notice you're still using the red spring in your driven pulley. Experiment with the three adjustment holes and the available yellow and green springs. Lots of torque options there.
Paul in California. Question build my race cart , front spinal and turning set up . ?? Also. Motercycle rims what dimension 16 ,17, last brand. Asian or HD like a Sportster and on the hub what dim ? Thanks for informing If you can
@@JackCecil or wut if u added some of those wheel hub electric motors to the front wheels.. I’m really high lol. So, it might to far in fairyland. But that could def work for top speed runs just maybe not the twistys.. lol
65 mph at about 12" off the pavement feels like 120....wooo hooo!!! Glad the steering was solid!

It's ok to be slower than me. Don't worry. Have fun! I am.

Can’t wait to see this end up with a tiny turbo, like the Renli 😅
That thing was sweet
With a torque converter over sixty miles an hour is pretty impressive. Kart looks awesome❤
Wow!! Wonderful and scary fun!!! Bravo!
I think you just beat everybody entering the 2024 Corona Cycle kart speed challenge!

Are you taking this to a race track at all ? Looks like a ton of fun!!
Yes i am! Stay tuned!

Nice!
Do wheel bearing upgrade if possible are tires rated to that speed limit great job jack
Yes they're MC tires

Imagine this thing with a dirt bike motor/trans just ripping gears lol. Get a set drift wheels too 😂

Very impressive!
Every good jack Cecil video starts with I've pushed everything to it's limits now it's time to change parts 😅
It’s like the tractors… but cooler! How bout a standard trans so u can shift it or an e brake and fatter tires on the rear? Idk just spitballing…lol
I've thought about a swap to a mini moto motor/trans
@@JackCecil i would absolutely love this! prob a semi auto would work best?
@@JackCecil yea that’d be even better honestly. I mean I’d say u have to do it

Sad... you missed the whole point of Cyclekarts.
