I didn't realize the lighting had that much of an effect on the game. I look at it now and realize it's becoming a whole different game. Better, more atmospheric and and I can't even find the words, the game just gets so much better.

@@jesseomollo9405 For example after writing this; I made 3-4 of the advertisement poster textures accurate to 2018, and did the 2018 military generator texture. This was just a texture change done in a few days. The texture pack used in this video was already a month old, so add around +30 textures to that, and in a few weeks-months (+20/30 more textures will be done in that time period too) you'll see 50-80 new textures in a new video
I truly hope that Techland adds their Elysium-Map to the Base-Game. Not as a Community Map but as a Full Part of the Game - that way, we could explore it with our Character having the Items etc. and enjoy it more. Techland could also support them somehow too. These Guys deserve it. Thats what Passion looks like.

Techland really needs to start taking notes from their community map creators and modders. This is 100× better than Villedor, it actually looks like it's been 15 years since the fall of civilization and doesn't have the colour palette of a kids cartoon! The Renaissance team should feel incredibly proud of themselves, this is such professional looking work that I wouldn't be surprised if a studio hired them based on this project alone. Big thanks to the Renaissance team, it looks very wonderful, and this is what the world of Dying Light 2 should look like, not copying and pasting a large part of the game world, such as buildings, stores, and dark pits. Dying Light needs creators, as it is one of the best zombie games.
Now THIS is what Dying Light 2 should’ve looked like. One of the many reasons why the Modding Community are GOAT tier in gaming. I actually can’t believe how incredible this looks, I think what really makes it stand out is how good the lighting is and it just shows what a huge downgrade we got in the main game. I clearly remember watching E3 back in 2018 and suddenly the first preview of Dying Light 2 showed. I didn’t realize it was Dying Light 2 till I heard “good night and good luck”
Yup i mentioned the same thing in one of my dying light 2 video that people didn't realize its dying light 2 and were confused.. someone even said far cry during E3 2018 event XD I mean the game was so different i can't even blame them.
If this goes beyond just recreating Elysium and they rewrite the story and flesh out the choices system this would go down as one of the best fan made mods ever
Techland should honestly just put this map in one of those out bounds areas they scrapped. They probably ran out of time and placed the acid in those out bounds areas.

It's so weird seeing all the concept art brought to reality. The fact that small, independent devs have to show Techland what they could've made. Seriously, has Techland no appreciation for its own ideas?
What's crazy is that some of these concept arts are barely visible and were shown in the trailer for fraction of section that too in low res. Yet these guys were able to create them in the map.
I know it might be a stretch, but I think (probably not) that the big announcement (most likely not) is gonna be working with Techland to bring this project into the base game (I doubt that be it). But there are many reasons why I really think this might happen. First - Reasons why Elysium might come back. Second - Reason why the Renaissance Team might work with Techland to add Elysium. Reasons why Elysium might come back: 1. Looking at maps and posters, you see the chemical affected areas but when looking at the Elysium region it's just crossed out. which proves that it's not destroyed by the Black Monday. 2. Elysium has been mentioned quite a lot in the game. There is a tape that talks about how the Renegades lost the Triumphal Arch 03:55 against the Peacekeepers. There is a voice line of Herald where he talks about how the Elysium tunnel has collapsed and how the Peacekeepers are trying unblock it. There are more but I can't mention them all here. 3. In the Exclusive Interview With Tymon Smektala (by OniZombies). Tymon HAS NOT said that Elysium will not be back. He has said, and I quote "Though I'm not saying that nothing that was a part of Elysium will not make a comeback, at some point in a completely different way because it will be fully developed then, so I think that's the best answer I can give you". 4. I believe that Number 3. hints that Elysium can be brought back if really wanted. And as we know Techland listens to the community so the chances are high. Reason why the Renaissance Team might work with Techland to add Elysium: 1. It's not the first time that Techland added community inspired stuff into the game. I mean they did add some stuff from E3 due to community requests, like the Billboard Sliding. 1. As I said Techland listens to it's community and the Renaissance Team is part of this community. I think that it makes sense for them to work together because for Techland it's already (Almost) a finished product that can be added without going against the lore while also being something that can majorly boost the player count. and for the Renaissance Team they have the chance to add their work into the official game instead of a turning it into a MOD (If my theory turns out to be true then most likely they would get some exclusive rewards) I really want to hear your guys opinions on this matter, so if you have something to share then please do so!
The thing about tymon saying "Although I'm not saying that anything that was part of Elysium won't come back in some form in the future, but in a completely different form" I'm guessing it's the bloody ties map part since technically that part is elyseum.

May I remind you that the hype for Dying Light 2 was so astronomical because Dying Light was soooo goooood. And these concept footage made the hype even bigger. It really sucks to see Elyseum be cut, but I can see how bad the performance issues would be, especially for those who play on older consoles (myself included sadly). I wish all the good luck to Renaissance!
That's why LOD's are very important. Everything you saw so far has been recorded without the addition of LOD's So once it's added it can greatly increase the performance of the game.
seeing it at different angles and the concept art in game.....i don't understand why this section wasn't in the final build?i can't speak on how it plays because well....haven't played it yet, but it just looks so much more visually interesting of a map to explore than old town and maybe even the loop...maybe is the key word, it's a damn shame this map never made it into the final game but it's great that fans decided to bring it here with this passion project
Because it was unfinished and only copying a map and concept art doesnt mean copying everything that wouldve been there had the development gon right ( story,more of the map,decisions,charecters ect.)

While techland only brings one e3 content in 3 months. When are we gonna get lightning improvent, shadow improvement, flashlight inertia, better sfx/Audio, better blood system, e3 2018 outfit, better climbing anims, radial blur, etc
I hope soon otherwise modders are always gonna find ways to improve this game and with the mod support in future even console players will be able to download mods.

Why the game devs decided to just tease us with the Elyseum map on every subway station rather than actually make the Elyseum playable is beyond me. Absolutely despise how every videogame company nowadays just decides to go with the crappier options, let alone actually finish developing a game before release. Modders seem to be working harder than ANY AND EVERY videogame company these recent years
The sunken city I call it ' in villedor towards the south of the map I think will be drained out giving us another section of the city to explore even though I already explored it all underwater but my point is , how dying light 2 map is laid out , I would believe it's easy to add more locations etc

They have done better than the devs in this level design. Incredible and not reused assets.

I have heard this from many people, custom maps are not working on consoles.
i am gonna ask Techland to make sure if they are aware of it or not.

I hope it will be possible to return from the DLC to the regular location, otherwise it will be a shame that you will not be able to take new things back to Viledor.
It's just community map
Maybe in future if they want to expand it, otherwise that might not be possible.

Happy New year guys. My son gave me this game for Xmas. I usually am not a zombie game player but I have to say I love this one. I can't seem to be able to stop playing it. There is so much to do I think it will take a very long time to do everything offered in it. I can't wait for the updates.. great job Renaissance

This actually looks like what might have happened after DL1 and not the colorful game we got now.

It'll be dope to have something to switch off to when I Am Legion tires me out, looks like I won't even need a ReShade to get the lighting right either.

May I remind you that the hype for Dying Light 2 was so astronomical because Dying Light was soooo goooood.
And these concept footage made the hype even bigger. I like that we might get those locations, but just as a seperate map?? It should be stitched into the actual game map and have stories in it.

It really sucks to see Elyseum be cut, but I can see how bad the performance issues would be, especially for those who play on older consoles (myself included sadly). I wish all the good luck to Renaissance!
That's why LOD's are very important.
Everything you saw so far has been recorded without the addition of LOD's
So once it's added it can greatly increase the performance of the game.
This map looks better than a whole dying light 2! Also i happy to know that i can play it on console.

They certainly are doing a great job.
seeing it at different angles and the concept art in game.....i don't understand why this section wasn't in the final build?i can't speak on how it plays because well....haven't played it yet, but it just looks so much more visually interesting of a map to explore than old town and maybe even the loop...maybe is the key word, it's a damn shame this map never made it into the final game but it's great that fans decided to bring it here with this passion project

Because it was unfinished and only copying a map and concept art doesnt mean copying everything that wouldve been there had the development gon right ( story,more of the map,decisions,charecters ect.)
@@Rabomoje i don't think anyone expects it to be exactly as how it would have been, this progress is more of a what if it was done, and just based on that what if, i think the devs made a big mistake not having this map in the game.
While techland only brings one e3 content in 3 months. When are we gonna get lightning improvent, shadow improvement, flashlight inertia, better sfx/Audio, better blood system, e3 2018 outfit, better climbing anims, radial blur, etc
I hope soon otherwise modders are always gonna find ways to improve this game and with the mod support in future even console players will be able to download mods.

Why the game devs decided to just tease us with the Elyseum map on every subway station rather than actually make the Elyseum playable is beyond me. Absolutely despise how every videogame company nowadays just decides to go with the crappier options, let alone actually finish developing a game before release. Modders seem to be working harder than ANY AND EVERY videogame company these recent years

The sunken city I call it ' in villedor towards the south of the map I think will be drained out giving us another section of the city to explore even though I already explored it all underwater but my point is , how dying light 2 map is laid out , I would believe it's easy to add more locations etc
