Remember there is no such thing. As free amount of money like that. The governent would never issue so much to a person. You only have to pay so little. Remember don't be greedy in real life too, Good lesson to learn. I am not I hate money & is the route to all evil remember that. You know the old saying if it is too good to be true. Then it is probably a fake then.

Same thing happened to me but I asked the scammer a question my friend would know What is the name of my father, they got very indignant when asked, I immediately knew my friend wouldn't react like that then after a while they gave me the name of my Facebook's friend Mother I got lots of rambling how they were God fearing people how could I think this of them blah blah. I was lucky I thought to do this as I have never heard of this scam before but if it's too good to be true beware.

How does anyone fall for this? The gvt or anyone ain’t giving free money away. And they certainly won’t contact you on Facebook. And you’d know how your real friend sounds to know if it’s them messaging you..

it's usually older people, sadly. My MIL nearly got duped by one of those "your computer has a vi'rus" scams.
Thankfully, she thought it was suspicious and called me to ask if I thought it was legit.

I confront scammers all the time & I never got locked out. I confront them right away & tell them. A cop lives next door to me. That we could trace & track them They leave me alone after that. Even romance scammers I had my share.. All are after money. & Yeah facebook could care less about scammers on there. They really should do something. The social media sites & dating sites. Are reasons amount of money flowing out of the country. They don't help warn people. If they make people aware More harder it be for scammers.
