So I was the pirate with the CH/DD team. At about 16:40 you fast forwarded though what was the tensest part of that game for me, as I was desperately trying to keep my DD alive as their BB and at least 2 of their CHs decided they didn’t like its jamming. It was a fun match though, the ambush was great!

CH is Cruiser Heavy aka a Heavy Cruiser.

CA is also well said, usually in all manuals on naval warfare I've read as well in many games CA is use for Heavy Cruisers

It comes from Cruiser Armoured
and goes along with Cruiser Light
and Cruiser Escort (i think)
its a hold over to the pre dreadnought days when ironclads and iron-clad cruisers were becoming super common, they needed a way to tell traditional ships-of-the-line (steam paddlers, screw propller and sail ships) apart from the newer types
i really like using CA and CL but I do find myself asking why we don't change it lol
the really confusing ones are more modern like CG I think is Cruiser Guided(-missile) and CGN is like Cruiser Guided(-missile) Nuclear(-capable or powered?)
