I know that this was about landscapes but the buildings shown on land and the towers on the ocean were very interesting as well. They remind me of the work that Foss used to do back in the 70's and 80's.
@@SpacialKatana I had the chance to see a wall in a cave with hundreds of handprints of ancient indigenous people. I could not touch them, only look. To me Clarke , Foss. Verne, Lovecraft and many others' stories and works of art speak like those handprints. Their arts testify of their existence. Not just with word but just an image can state so much.
at 2:55, I like the bug gliding along the ocean. I would like a snow packed mountains scene too. Maybe ones with snow leopards and polar bears to help give the ships scale.
Something tangible from personal experience, such as the trees, can make a *huge* difference for the audience in truly FEELING the size of some of these ships. Might I respectfully suggest the possibility of having people wandering through the trees might magnify this even more? I can imagine a scene which starts off with a young couple enjoying a picnic under the trees when something *BIG* casts a shadow over them, the camera pans back, showing the size (relative to the people) of the trees, pans back more, and eventually shows an enormous ship hovering over the people.
Working towards a city scene that'll have trees and people and such. It's in my head but not ready for bytes yet. I also need to NOT do spaceships all the time or I get rusty, as they're the easiest objects to animate.

His books always had decent cover artwork, never read any though. I mostly read Arthur C Clarke and Iain Banks when I was younger.
