Season Synopsis:
Over the last two seasons of “Raising Kanan,” Kanan Stark has slowly learned the truth about not only his mother, but also himself. It has been a tortuous journey for him and everyone around him. With each new revelation, Kanan has been forced to confront his family’s seemingly never-ending web of secrets and lies. He has spent much of this time in a state of denial, but now, Kanan’s blinders are finally off, and he doesn’t like what he sees. In season three, Kanan finds himself grappling with the very notions of right and wrong. Good and evil. Fidelity and disloyalty. And he’s not alone. Every member of the Thomas family must confront an existential crisis that challenges their very identity. Whether it’s Marvin, who’s still trying to redeem himself, or Raq, who’s finally coming clean, or Lou, who’s wrestling with his own evil, or Jukebox, who’s simply trying to break free from her family’s pathology, they are all attempting to redefine and reinvent themselves. They won’t all be able to complete this intensely personal quest, but for those who do, the destination may reveal the most terrifying secret of all. There is no right and wrong or good and evil. There are no absolutes. In the end, there’s just you.

Raq has never stopped "knowing" that Howard needed to die. . Folks done forgot. She was gonna have Kanan kill him. Raq was protecting Kanan. Marvin and Ronnie now know that Kanan's father was a cop and not the son of Rondell Def Con Stark. Kanan can't be "running" those streets if his pop was a cop.

(Howard told Raq that he won’t snitch on Kanan if Kanan donates some of his bone marrow so that Howard can beat leukemia and live.) The show just never circled back to it. Now that the Feds (et al) are coming for Raq (and her family), she had more reason to kill Howard and to end the investigation since Howard was the weak link.

IMO I think Raq seen Nique at that court. Raq kept her head on swivel. But whatever she was looking at was enough to distract her and them fools rolled up on her.

I wonder if Stefano knew Unique was still alive? Think back to the convo he had with Raq when she said she wanted back in the game after she found out he was dead.
This was a solid episode with a lot of surprises. I hope the opening episode for season 4 is a flashback episode that explains the lead up to what happened the finale.
Shawn’s mom’s name was Jarita on the original Power. So I don’t think Crystal is really pregnant. Maybe she terminates, miscarriages or it ends up being someone else’s baby.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this season a 9 overall. I thoroughly enjoyed it.👍 And there's no other show in the Power Universe as good as this one.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed, let me just break down my theory about Unique=Breeze💨. Y’all might wanna kick back lol. In season 1, when unique is first introduced, older Kanan narrating says “that’s unique. Biggest drug dealer on the south side. Everybody wanna be him or be down with him.” This shows to me off the bat that unique is someone Kanan respected enough to wanna work with/be cool with. Please Keep this in mind. In season 3, when unique “died”, older Kanan narrating said “that’s when kings fall” referring to unique as a king. In the season 3 finale, the song playing at the end is called “down with the king(cool breeze mix) by run dmc. I feel like this means Kanan is about to be down with the “king” going forward. And let’s not forget the leaked image of unique coming out of Kanan apartment(which I feel like is a leaked pic for season 4). Let’s keep going lol. The season 3 finale episode is called made you look which is a reference to the nas song. In that song, one of the lyrics are “only describe us as soldiers, survivors”. I think it’s fair to call unique a survivor considering what he just went through. Another lyric is “stay laced with the best well dressed with finesse”. I’m sure we can all agree this can be used to describe unique👀. And lastly another lyric is “king of the town, yeah I been that”. Unique is the king they are referring to I feel like. He’s already been at the top considering that’s the version of unique we were introduced to. I think all this means unique is leaving his old persona behind resurfacing as breeze. In OG power, when Kanan escaped near death he came back with scars and introduced himself as slim to tariq. This could be the same thing here with unique. He’s back with scars and I could see him taking Kanan under his wing. The way breeze is described as being “not too smart” is different from how we knew unique but I’m sure taking a beating like that can alter one’s personality/way of thinking. Lastly, season 2 ep 3, when unique had Julianna held up he told raq “my name don’t even got the same weight on these streets no more. Law 25 of the 48 laws of power is to “recreate yourself”. This whole season the theme was made you look😵💫they put Ronnie in front of us when the whole time it’s looking like Unique = Breeze!

00:50:14 REMEMBER: TLC's original group was comprised of T-Boz, Left Eye, and some chick named CRYSTAL. It was PEBBLES that replaced Crystal with Chilli. So, if this Power version of "Pebbles" wanted to replace Jukebox with a new member, it can be done. They're not really known yet, as a group. They're not even signed with a record label yet.
But for arguments sake: Lil Mama replaced Left Eye for a year or two, and that was kinda successful...

Kanan is going to hate Raq for killing Howard. His beef was with his mother not his father. Howard tried to protect his son & told Raq he didn’t know if he would be in the clear but her & Kanan would. Raq cannot think she’ll get away with all she’s done. She actually made it worse killing Howard. The FEDS will suspect Marvin. Kanan was upset that Raq shot Howard. All are criminals & Marvin is my favorite, but someone from the Thomas organization needed to take the fall.
This is why Raq should have killed Marvin sadly. Howard still had more story left ...but now watch Marvin get upset after Jukebox finds out Raq was a C.I.

To my defense as a Ghost in denial fan, because they showed Ghost getting shot but didn’t give him a true farewell or RIP on their Ig page.. I figured there was always room for him to survive. Just like Kanan did in the fire. So when Unique was “kilt” off but there was no body. I accepted that he was dead too. And Power just gonna make sure folks tune in. 😂 so now I really think there’s room for Ghost to come back.
Season 4 gon be real familiar. Juke gonna be government. Breeze gets fleshed out more. Tommy and ghost gonna be introduced. Kanan gon be big dawg idk if they gonna show him being put away next season cuz remember he was in jail for a long time in the begining of power book 1. I wonder if kate, tommys mom gonna be in the show, I hope so because ghost loves what tommys mom did for him early on.

Great ending
This season was cool. Im a bit dissapointed with it due to how good episode 2 was and was hoping we would keep some simular energy throughout the season but it never exceeded that for me. This season was clearly more character driven but i feel they missed an opprotunity in correcting the mistake that was Ronnie. Ronnie completely derailed the flow of the overarching plot to the point he could be seen as a filler villain, which he was. We went from going to war with the NJ Mob to beefing with an ocd brute with no real plans and or organization. Just a leader of a small crew trying to get back into the Herion scene with a faulty connect and shakey alliance with his investors(who are way more interesting villains). They didnt even use Ronnie to expand upon the past of the southside and his possible root of beef with Raq. The fan theory of him being Def Cons lover and aledgedlly knowing Raq got Highpost killed would have been justification for this character and being this seasons main antagonist. It would have sowed the final seed in Kanan's head to eventually get away from or truly go against his mother as it would confirm to him the person he believes her to be, on top of her still killing Howard in front of him. Sure they can still go this route and reveal this history through Snaps & Pops but it would lack the impact it would have had if Ronnie just said the shit at the warehouse or if Snaps & Pops brought it up when Howard showed up to the sitdown and then have Ronnie epand upon it to Kanan and the viewers at the warehouse. Im happy Ronnie is dead but i wish he wasnt a complete waste of time that he was, the absolute worst red herring in Power history.

Kanan had to have Ronnie believe that he was on Ronnie 's side to protect his mother. Ronnie stepped on Kanan's toes, and didn't dialogue with him regarding his plans.
The true beauty of the scene between Raq and Lou in this finale was that it was the complete opposite of the scene between them in the S2 finale when she told him she owned him. Which in hindsight is also ironic to Lucas' point about the parental dynamic, that verbiage is something you'd normally hear a parent say to their child. Instead of talking at, and metaphorically iffin at one another, Raq and Lou instead listened to and embraced each other, something both desperately needed. Her and Kanan need the same.
Another sad thing about this ep is another example of how Raq really has been talking about her trauma and how she deals, or at the very least internalizes it this whole time. We heard when she ran it down to Lou in S2 finale but the coldest line in this finale truly summed it all up. "The thing I don't get is, is how the fuck y'all figure that I'm problem and the answer at the same time?" That's such a lonely place to be in especially when she's primarily talking about her own family, and yet that's the only dynamic she knows, which is why it felt like she was taken aback to hear how important she was to Lou. With so many similarities between them, I'd love to see an alternate reality sit down between Raq and Ghost. Talk about epic.
Stefano told unique what was happening and eventually get his name breeze from him cause he joked about nicknames when he kidnapped roc and unique
Ronnie got happy and his hate for Raq decreased when he found out DefCon wasn’t Kanan’s real dad. His tone when he greeted Raq and Howard was totally more chill than all season. Ronnie was DefCon’s side piece and his hate from Raq stems from his feelings of betrayal when he thought Kanan was DeCon’s son! IMO🤷🏽♀️
When they did the fake kidnapping of kanaan and the masked gunman pointing the gun at jukebox but did not shoot her WAS THAT UNIQUE 😮
I said this on another channel, but I think they should either Cast Hassan Johnson (aka Wee Bey) or Wood Harris (aka Avon) as Breeze, or at least another villain role!!

Well, I think they do a wonderful job. They have brought back things to my memory that I forgot. And I love Power. But with my fam, work and school things of the Power Universe 'may' slip my mind.

It was apparent that that Ronnie was going to get her but she was reflecting on her meeting with Lou.

Another great recap guys 💗. Another amazing season. My only disappointment of the episode was Howard getting killed (shoutout to Omar Epps). I wanted to see him coming up with the clutch play lies on the spot. Joker could lie so well I was believing them. #RIPHoward👮♂️
Also, I wondered if he would have given Raq and Kanan up to save himself. Then when he told Raq her and Kanan were the worst things that happened to him..I knew he would sacrifice them all.
Kanan is a typical adolescent. He is rebelling because of Raq's lying to him.
Raq put all of her money into the plaza and her home. Remember she got out the game, so it wasn’t necessary for her to have money laying around. And the money she did have left, she used it to by H from the Asian dude. Plus she paying for Lou’s rehab which she said on the weekly cost more than a Jamaican cruise. Baby girl is tapped.

This is the smartest police taskforce in all of Power tbh. They're giving our protagonists a run for their money. And I would love if they brought in the lady from "Who's the Boss" to play Stefano's wife! They should bring in somebody else from "The Wire" or someone else we'd recognize from a similar show, or a hip-hop/rap artist who can actually act. The dude who played Marlo was already in OG Power with a bad Caribbean accent.

If Detective Howard never had that cancer scare this would have never happened because he would not have looked for a relative or offspring. So yeah basically everything that Detective Howard did was 4 Raquel or because of her

Lucas is right! Raq would have no need to fight Kanan on being in the game. He’s in it and has been in it since he was in Raq’s belly - a revelation she came to with unique after they had their convo in the park S1. If anything this resets the fear/respect in Kanan to never try his mom again. Which is similar to the conversation Kanan had with Snaps, Pop, and Ronnie: would you whether be feared or respected? Kanan answered both, they are one and the same.

Because Marvin is who tied the Italians to Queens and Howard. Him having Sal’s son kill Toni (a CI). The FBI was already watching the Italians before the show started.
