Bonnet House, its courtyard, its history

Bonnet House, a beach house, was the winter home of Frederic Clay Bartlett and his family. It is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He donated his significant art collection to the Art Institute of Chicago in memory of his second wife Helen Birch Bartlett.
This is a view of the courtyard, as photography was not permitted inside the house. November 6, 2008.

I just came back from Fort Lauderdale FL where I was fortunate enough to visit Bonnet House. It was very lovely and interesting. If you have a chance to visit do so.
