Excellent info. I think the “lull” as some call it, is also due to bucks leaving their summer range to expand into their winter range. October is the magical month where all the bucks I had during the summer months end up on neighboring properties and vice versa. That roaming can lead to a lack of pictures in common places frequently visited by bucks that had been there all summer and fall.
This is my fist time listening to you guy I saw you on the THP TH-cam channel and decided to look you up . Lots of great info looking forward to listen to more of your content.
Great channel guys! As a fellow Dr. I love geeking out on this material as well, Bronson! Lol. Both of your teaching styles complement each other well.
That's a little deep! Priceless dude! Talk about it, think I know what you're talking about but, don't have all the experience you do in that field of dear. Man I know she would elaborate. Awesome statement, but also need to be elaborated on. Thanks, hope I'm listening when you do.
The rut in central North Carolina seems to start at the end of hunting season which is Jan 1st and the deer seem to be in full rut December ! Yet the rut is claimed to peak Nov. 8th & that’s not my observation…

Does population density have any impact on rut timing?
I was hunting on wma and seen 4 doe and one small fawn with spots on December 11.
This was on Chickasaw Wma.
Louisville MS has a rut in Jan but say Starkeville has in December NOT much land difference
