I have never had music hit me this deep before. It leaves you with your thoughts. It gets to the point where you begin to question what thoughts are. And why existence even needs to exist. Like why isn’t there just nothing with no one existing. Maybe nothing existed for an infinite amount of time and we are just the 1 in infinity chance of there being something.
This gives me chills. Not because of the video, just the song. Everything we have ever done, everything that will ever be done, it's all insiginificant. And this song shows it very well. This sounds as if it was the end credits of the Universe.
I find comfort in how everything is intrinsically insignificant. This just means that life's meaning is whatever meaning you wish for it to have. As I see it, to be happy you need to truly examine your heart and mind and even soul to see what meaning you attribute to life, and the work the hardest you can to achieve it. But don't forget the meaning may change over time, nothing is set in stone
As I drift, closer to my event horizon I look back at the life now passing in view, I think, what has been, has only been just what hasn't yet been because what has been and what is to be, is in me, now... forever.
Music along the lines of this give me a similar, but much more positive feeling. A feeling of how wondrous and beautiful a universe we live in, a universe so big and fantastic that we will never run out of things to explore and give us pause to feel joyful in the face of the unknown.

Keep going buddy. I was in a similar situation recently on a much smaller scale. The bad days have to happen in your life for the good ones to happen. Just like in Vsauce's video "What is the brightest thing in the universe" The Yin and Yang apply here too.
Yesterday, I woke up at midnight and went outside in the garden and started staring at the stars while listening this song on headphones. It was really a phenomenal experience for me that made me realize how small and insignificant we are in this mighty expanding and infinite universe. Nothing matters now.
38490- Time flies. Everything that happens a week before feels like its been a month. A month feels like a year. It’s unbelievable. So many things that I wish I could return to. The universe would never be the way it is now if you didnt exist. So live your life to the fullest

Time flies. Everything that happens a week before feels like its been a month. A month feels like a year. It’s unbelievable. So many things that I wish I could return to. To just replay those days, over and over and over again. Just 1 day of happiness, replaying constantly. Everytime I sleep, the day restarts with my memories. The ultimate dream. Have a nice day. :)
If life were based on emotion, that scenario would be preferable. Kind of reminds me of the scholar's tale in hyperion. Have a nice day too! :)

Peace, Sparse
As michael said in one of the videos
..."No your existence really matters.Just as the ripples created stay long after the stone hits the water, similarly your life will make a long lasting effect on this universe. The universe would never be the way it is now if you didnt exist. So live your life to the fullest

Note: I am doing better now, way less depressed, and also way more introspective than I used to be months ago. Now I think about where these emotions come from and if it’s rational to feel them

"And do you Michael Stevens take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do... OR DO I?"
Everyone: Ooooooooooooooooo
No "Thats a good question.. But, more importantly, why do humans clap?"
Or do I? dang now I'm hooked
@@frze5386 the square root of x^3 provides enough velocity for our hands to produce seismic waves through the air. Or as we call it, clapping, this fundamental human instinct is derived from Charles Darwin's paper on theoretical human clapping behavioural theory.
I was almost emotional there for a second before I read your comment and lost all hope for humanity once again.
so. fkn. good jake.
F for people who still can't find this song.
Shazam didn't recognize it so I had to spend a long time finding it.
Same, but I found it in the description of the video
Its automatically comes to my recommendation
There's a playlist called Vsauce music, you literally could of searched it and found it in 2 minutes.
Lol mr dumbo
Bro only took my one youtube search query
People say this music makes Michael's videos more intense
I'd say Michael makes these songs more intense !

This music is so thought provoking, especially when used while explaining majestic and astronomical large things that We discovered in our universe, which gives the feel how small our problems actually are in front of those huge creations... When I heard this in video, "what's brightest thing in universe"(while describing quasar),I got chills.. It's so divine

This song makes u believe anything is possible and makes feel like u have a achieved something massive
Yeah
They call us weirdos for liking this music
That 7/8 time signature only works when you know what you're doing. And Jake knows exactly what he's doing.
This song is so amazing that it’s actually crazy. It’s so well made, and gives me a deep feeling of nostalgia and generally remembering my past, as well as the past and future of this planet.
you're weird
For me, this song captures a TH-cam era, the likes of which we may not see for a very long time.
Typhlosion Master everything felt..real back then. Not fabricated, no algorithms or drama. Just people making interesting authentic content for us to observe
An era before you needed clickbait to succeed. An era when vsauce still uploaded. A better era for youtube...
JereToon if Vsauce started uploading again the entirety of TH-cam would be changed for the better. It’s been so long :(
pixeL but the golden days of TH-cam are gone, and we now need to look forward, and have faith in the TH-cam community that it will be restored to it’s former state. We all miss the quality videos like vsauce, but we need to appreciate what amazing things we have now. Have a great day my friend.
JereToon what do we have left though?!
You discovered it❤
This is the shit that plays each time he:
1) Talks about the heat death
2) Brings up a study about the human brain
3) Mentions existential dread
4) Mentions extinction
5) "As [profession] [name] said: [deep quote]"
6) "In [year], [profession] [name] [action person did]"
So true, i remember this song as the more ‘’deep’’ part of Vsauce’s videos. Often used when talking about space and interstellar fenomenons. This soundtrack is truly out of this world
Is anything real?
I miss classic Vsauce
Seriously, is he ever going to do regular videos like he used to? Now it's all TH-cam Red stuff..
At least we still have "dong"

Here vsauce puts us in an existential crisis and gives us motivation and hope at the same time
karan this is my personal favorite of the tracks
yes, this is the music i spend 10 hours of my day listening to while listening to vsauce do exactly what you said
38, 960 I'm confused, why are we counting?
In my dreams I see him returning to his TH-cam channel
Luis Hartmann well done, you have been rewarded.
The prophecy fulfilled.
@Luis Hartmann lol he literally uploaded the day after you wrote this
He also freed his content
Jonah Baird well you can wake up buddy he is back!
This song should be humanities national anthem.
Kevin Yeoh So true! How does your comment not have more likes?!
Kevin Yeoh yes, for a day when we realize that we are all human and are meant to stick together
Kevin Yeoh Wouldn't it be a global anthem though?
RotatingBuffalo I prefer national as it represents the human race undivided from borders and racial tension. Global is kinda vague when it comes to unity as it refers to humanity in general divided or not.

I listened to this last night and suddenly realized I had known what I wanted to do since I was born. Science of sort.
god this music is so god damn nostalgic. I miss being a kid tbh, not a care in the world...
23774 btw
Damn I miss my childhood, I was so innocent and blissfully unaware to all the problems in the world. I was just minding my own business and having a good time
It's only going to get worse as the first time we heard this song / discovered vsauce is getting longer ago.
It's hard enough remembering my early twenties in my late twenties, I can't imagine how shattering it will be 10 years from now.
I wish i could just ignore what is happening around the world and live enjoying now
12254. On a side note, it’s fascinating how thousands of us will cooperate with each other by continuing the counting, just because of our love for Vsauce, yet only ever interact once. This is my last contribution to the counting. This is goodbye, for I will never see any of you again.
AJ T 2 months ago a
person with the youtube username “MrMarmalad” commented on the video “3000th comment boys” since then everyone else started counting the number of comment they were which is why the count goes up by one every time. (Obviously some people don’t understand and ruin it)
Since this became kind of a meme people started doing it is all his other songs too recently
“39,610… and as always, thanks for watching”
So I found this song while looking for the background music vsauce uses and I'm kinda confused. Why is everyone's comment a number?
long time ago a guy commented jokingly "7831st comment" and people decided to continue it
I think its awesome because whenever I click on this Video, the latest comment is not an hour old

this plays after the extensiveness crisis that happens and Michael cheers you up
do you mean existential?
yes
Good english past me.

Numbers aside, this track is actually nostalgic and beautiful, it is classic Vsauce, possibly even more so than even Moon Men. It is so perfect for the contexts it is used in that I can't even really fully describe it. Jake Chudnow is a genius composer, and the Vsauces are wonderful presenters of the many facts of our world, culture, media and beyond.
