SwiftyJoe TheOneAndOnly The thing is, I’m convinced that Dean would be ready to be there for Jack like Jack was for him, he just kept it such a secret from Dean that he didn’t give him the chance.
This honestly hit me hard, especially rhe ending. I'm always the friend who helps everyone else with their problems, the therapist friend as some may call it, but at the end of the day all my problems are still there waiting for me. I'm dealing with all my issues bit by bit but this made me feel things that I didn't know where possible.
jack was so gentle and kind while helping dean with his demons, but so rough with his own. he just wants to shut them down instead of dealing with them with that same gentleness, hence the anger present as he told them to shut up.
This is an accurate representation of depressed people often being very caring towards others because they don't want others to feel the way they do. Jack has a lot of baggage yet he helps Dean get rid of his anyway. Such a powerful ending
These 4th wall breaks when Jack looks at the cam. And Dean is me tho! "My rhyming obsession" I can't even - That's prequel to getting into heaven.. WHOA THAT ENDING
I really love how this video takes a comedic yet respectful approach towards such a serious and stigmatized topic. The quiet nights you have when you feel like you're dealing with everything alone make this video even more powerful on how it's never ending. But if you face it head on, it won't pile up on you. Also sometimes oush aside their own baggage to help others, and even though that may be helpful for the other person, the one who is helping is ultimately doing it as a way to vicariously live through helping deal with someone else's problems rather than their own. Tl;dr I just really like this video and I teared up a little bit (In between laughing) Also I saw that Dean has his pronouns in his twitter bio and I just started bawling because that's really lovely and should be a normalized thing.
the ending. that hit wayyyy too close to home. You do everything to someone’s baggage but then when it comes to your baggage, they are no where to be found. That H U R T
That wasnt the message, jack isnt abandoned by dean, he isnt ready or doesnt feel worthy of Dean's help and is better at pretending to be okay and helping others. Even giving advice that he knows deep down hee should be following too but cant
I was feeling sad and angry today, I felt like I was going to explode at any moment. I was on the verge of crying and this video eventually made it happen. So thank you. "Depression"
Me too
Wholesome.
As in there are some holes
In my heart
From this greatness
“just don’t let it pile up next time” i had to stop and rewatch that like 10 ten times bc wow that is the power of therapy innit AND THEN TO BE FOLLOWED BY THAT GUT PUNCH OF AN ENDING
"That's not the 'case'" Was that on purpose?
For anyone wondering what was written on the board at 3:37 here it is:
‘Dad, I forgive you.
For the years of second guessing my appearance, sexual preference and “girly run”. You were just projecting and I can understand that. I’ve done similar things myself, nobody’s perfect but I’m pretty close. Sorry, I make jokes when I’m nervous. I think I get that from you. We’re more alike than you think, so I hope you can be as open with me as I am being with you. Let’s be so open that we could swap ribs or something. I’d be proud to have your ribs. Sorry, I’m making jokes again. I wanna form a stronger, more healthy relationship. I love you, Dad. I hope you can say the same to me. I don’t want to leave this until it’s too late. Not that you’re going to die soon or anything…or are you?! Or am I?! ARE WE GOING TO DIE?! Will it be at the same time?!?! :( This is why we need to talk about stuff. I’m rambling now. Do you want to say anything? Hello?…I think he just hung up.’
“Look dean, I know you think you need to handle this baggage by yourself, but you know that’s not the *case* ”
why do I feel like the only person that got this joke lmao
I literally went “hehe.. case” out loud.
How has it taken so long for me to realise that.
I couldn't get that. someone can explain?
"We can unpack it together" well great now im crying 😭
it's really how it feels to be there for people but finding no one ready to be there for us
SwiftyJoe TheOneAndOnly The thing is, I’m convinced that Dean would be ready to be there for Jack like Jack was for him, he just kept it such a secret from Dean that he didn’t give him the chance.
@@ahobbit1273 i meant that it was accurate not that it depicting their relationship
Love that the inner critic was played by Mark Kemode, a professional critic.
Dean's "I used to be" is still one of the funniest deliveries in Jack and Dean history
"Let's unpack it together" made me cry 😢😥😢
I almost teared up.
2:43 “stop trying to kiss me”
jack was so gentle and kind while helping dean with his demons, but so rough with his own. he just wants to shut them down instead of dealing with them with that same gentleness, hence the anger present as he told them to shut up.
The Kermode cameo is just so brilliant.
Having a binge during the quarantine and this is one of the best concepts you guys have done.
This is an accurate representation of depressed people often being very caring towards others because they don't want others to feel the way they do. Jack has a lot of baggage yet he helps Dean get rid of his anyway. Such a powerful ending
The start of that video for me was like:
*I feel personally attacked*
Start of the video is me last night. Laying on the floor cause i was sad.
For me, it was rather the end
These 4th wall breaks when Jack looks at the cam. And Dean is me tho!
"My rhyming obsession" I can't even
-
That's prequel to getting into heaven..
WHOA THAT ENDING
I clicked on it thinking it was uploaded I’m crushed lol
Edit: I waited and now I’m sad. Too close to home boys 😩 phenomenal work
I really love how this video takes a comedic yet respectful approach towards such a serious and stigmatized topic.
For making me release all the tension, making me laugh and making me realise I don't have to do this alone. Gonna call a friend and talk it out ❤️
Take care of yourself
@@jackanddean thanks a bunch!
