Hey Wazzman! I torqued everything to C8 factory spec including the spacer. I also checked a few times a month and it never got loose or un-torqued at all from my experience. 👍
Curious as to why you had to grind the studs with trident wheels? My paragon spacers fit on my C8 with the black trident wheels and no cutting of the factory studs. I’ve heard this only applies to the traditional 5 spoke wheels.
Hey Marley! I had to because the bolts are longer than the spacer and goes through a different slot on your rims than the original that the spacers go through. It was hitting and and not level. Paragon talks about it on the tutorial when you install on the page you buy them from.
Hope you guys are having a great day! Love how this turned out and how it sets off the car with the maxton body kit! Let me know what you guys think and have an awesome week! 👍
Hey Taran. If you don't have a allocation or you name down on a Z06 yet its going to be near impossible to get one let alone at msrp. But from everything I hear msrp starts around 70 to 80k and goes up alot from there. Some of the markups they are talking about for the z06 on the low end is 25k to 80k and up over msrp.(I have herd that from dealers that I have asked) Its going to be insane to see what dealers are going to be able to get away with!
@@OwenJamesC8 Thanks a ton for getting back to me and I’m glad to finally hear from somebody who has ordered a Z06. So I have spoken to a dealership around my area and they did assure me that I would get it only for MSRP but the wait time is around 2 years, which totally works for me because that car is well worth the wait. As long as MSRP is under $100k, I’m definitely going to go through with it. I’ll just have to go to the dealership and go through with the deposit.
If you can get it within the span of its availability 2 years or anything get it! Msrp will be quite a bit under 100k but option it well even if it goes a little over 100k because it will be worth waaaaaaaaay over msrp! Good luck man! 👍
Hey KrypticBee08 I already have a video with that here th-cam.com/video/8B9yn4XJUM4/w-d-xo.html Hope you enjoy man! 👍 Also man sry in advance I drank way too many energy drinks in that video...lol 😂
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I still have a ton to learn so don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can improve! Cant wait for you to get your C8 man! Its going to be epic!!!👍
I have the paragon 20mm spacers on aswell on my z51 with front lift & tires rub with the splashguards slightly when the wheel is turned with the stock height but I can definity feel and hear the rub when the lift is up and I turn the wheel. I would like to hear if you had the same issue and if so how was it corrected. Best solution would be thinner splashguards but can't seem to find any that are thinner. Let me know what you think. Thanks
Hey Alex! So I never really use my front lift as much as I probably should. So on a turn with it lifted I never really noticed it. Wish I could be more help... as for new rubbing issues. I have 305 20s in the front now lol. So I rub like crazy doing anything!
I initially thought that as well but your not grinding the spacers your grinding screw on the car. So no matter what spacer other than a shim under 20mm you use, you will likely have to do that. Lets just say I feel more comfortable doing that than putting 30 or 40mm spacers and not having to grind. As for warranty dealer says it would have to effect the failure directly and they would have to prove it. They even said that if you change the wheels lol. 👍
The spacers look good. I don't get removing the thread locker. It's covered up and would actually benefit keeping the spacers tight. Do you have a deposit on a Z06 close to you?
I agree with you on the thread locker. The z06 will be coming from the east coast so its as far as it gets lol. No deposit but I got on the list over 2 1/2 years ago and its from Criswell so I don't have to worry. Also looking at getting a project car for fun though for the channel! 👍
Hey TheMustangStampede, yea they call when I get close to my turn. Dont know about march since I think i`m around 150 or so. The guy I'm with is one of the top corvette sellers in the nation and has a great reputation for getting back to people. Every few months he sends me a update as well. 👍
@@OwenJamesC8 if i learned anything trying to track down a c8, each dealer claims to be the biggest or best lmao. When the list is readily available to see who gets the biggest allocation. However, I'm not sold that big allocations means best service.
I took it in to get it Balanced just in case and so far no extra wear. I have put on about 400 miles since I did the upgrade. Ill keep an eye on it and let you know of any issues! Or ask again at a later date and Ill let you know. 👍
from waht i have seen , it is very minor rub on wheels.. seem that it would be easy to remove small amount of aluminum casting on factory wheel then to mess up studs..imo
If Chevy would put wheels and tires on this car that actually fit from the factory people would not have to add spacers or change the wheels.. Shame on you Chevy for putting Wheels and tires on the car that don't fit
Yea the wheel options for the C8 left something to be desired... also like you said the could have pulled them out a little more to line up with the side of the car better. Once you take the spacers off you cant unsee it anymore lol.
I dont see the problem...this car is just a toy. Second I hacked the crap out of her with the wide body, so IF I did sell her... they have much bigger problems than this 😂! But I will never get rid of her so no worries 😉
@@OwenJamesC8 I would never made the comment if you said that you never gonna get rid that car. Also you said you would have got a new set of wheels if you wasn’t gonna get new zo6. That meant to me someone else problem. Listen I ordered a 2013 gs 4 yrs later I ordered a 2017 Zo6 I still got both cars not say I didn’t. change things I didn’t like, but I kept everything I removed in case I sell it. But because of the c8 I will never sell either car my son get gs right now and zo6 when I get to old and slow to handle it. Good call keep your C8 that’s corvette history because the young people are ruining that car because they don’t understand what they have…..just saying
@@dwightmurray9763 I didnt know at the time of the video if I was going to keep it or not. But once I decided to cut into it and install the wide body I made the choice to keep it. When I get the z06 I will not touch it much since it will probably be the last of the highest hp gas cars available. But if I get a second one I would probably do something👍 But yea I love my C8 and sharing it with others. Its been an amazing car.
@@OwenJamesC8 you love it just remember it will be the last zo6 gas powerful corvette made and the price you pay for it will only double, look at last front engine c7 zr1 it sold for $149.000 you can’t get a used one under $240.000…..
@@dwightmurray9763 Grinding that little corner of the studs is NOT a problem for the owner or any future owner. The grind is so minimal, and the threads of the stud are not even adversely affected that far out on the tips. A very easy and worthy mod that every C8 wearing factory wheels need! 👍🏽

If you put a spacer on can you put wider tires in the back
Thanks for the info man. I already got 355s on the back with Chets wheels from Aerolarri. Thanks for the info though
Did you re-torq it or is it better to put loctite?
Sup Ray! I just re-torqed them. I take them on and off often so I didn't want to mess with it. No issues so far👍
Did you have to re-torque, I’m considering getting a set.

Did you use blue loctite?
Great video btw👍👍👍
No Wazzman, did not use it since I change wheels so often. I also don't use the spacers when I do spirited/track driving.
Quick question:
After installing those do u need to do alignment?!?
Some say yes
Some day no ..
Sorry for the late reply. I did not and didn't seem to need it. But I didnt plan on keeping them on for awhile because I put a widebody on my c8.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!😀🤘
