Bro, do gcam reviews for all phones. Almost no one makes nowadays. And no i dont think brands caught up with Google on image processing. I bought poco f5, stock cam is garbage and gcam on it is pretty good.
Its Garbage on F5 because of the less devs in community, i make xmls for F4, and its super dope there.
@@shubhammeena927 still gcam improves photography over stock on f5, and theres is some development. Sure yeah, many other phones have better gcam and devs than f5 i know.
Stock softwares are becoming adequate these days.
poco phones are not for cameras, they r for gaming, the worst camera u only find in poco phones

I think my 4 year old redmi note 7 pro with gcam takes better pictures than today's midrange phones.

I had a RN7 pro which I later gave to my sister as the battery life wasn't that great. But when I used it, it took very good images.
Just midrange?? It can shoot better looking photos than current iPhone's and Samsung's bro. (I cannot talk more about sharpness since ois is missing on redmi note 7)

Moto has improved alot , so much that it makes the utility of gcam looks inferior
its good to see gcam works soo good on this phone
But it's not working photos are not in focus
My 2018 Zenfone Max Pro M1 with GCam can still give cut-throat competition to today's Midrange phones

For Beginners: GCam is not much effective with Mediatek processors. Snapdragon processors produce far better images.

My Redmi Note 8 with gcam gives better result then most of the mid-range phones. Even sometimes it click better images than iPhone 11/12

I'm using GCam on a 6 year old Moto One power, n it still takes sharp photos, I can record 4k videos on GCam, whereas it only support 1080p resolution on stock cam, plus I rooted the device for unlimited Photos/videos backup.

And the banger videos keep coming! Any thoughts on the camera app UI experience and processing time on the Fusion stock vs gcam? There are quite a few reports of laggy camera UI and longer processing times on the elder brother, Edge 50 Pro. Is that the case with the Fusion too?
Yes the app definitely has some lags here and there

That's a shame, given all the applauds this year's Edge series has gotten. The camera is surprisingly their key selling point (who thought we'd say that about Moto?), only to be marred by this issue.
Do you think this is something that can be fixed through software updates? Or is this some sort of a processor bottleneck?
I still think even in 2024 all the sub 20 k phone and some sub 30 k phone can get a massive hike in camera quality by gcam..( photos might not be as sharp but the volors and dynamic range still holds up)...
g cam takes photos to another level
One way that the Google camera has more magic to it, is the way it can take JPEG+ RAW at once.

If you edit the photos anyway before posting then I guess it shouldn't matter. If it is about sharpness and retaining details then one can consider this.

I noticed much higher and unnatural contrast in Gcam. Looks fancy but not natural. Surprisingly even at time stock can has realistic saturation but not Gcam.
