They are so underrated, saw them recently in Berlin in a small club. They deserve a big stage! Amazing music and performance by incredible and beautiful Jennifer Haben.
I know Joakim doesn't hold a candle to her in terms of looks, but Sabaton is also an amazing European band. And Floor from Nightwish is just on another level. My three favourite bands!
Saw these folks live in London last night with Amaranthe. Fantastic energy, stage presence and quality vocals and musicians. Amaranthe was the draw. IMHO, Beyond the Black absolutley nailed it on the night. Best of the evening.
Was there too and I totally agree with you. When my Brother reads this I'll get an earful from him - (massive Amaranthe fan) they were good, but BTB were sublime!
Fully agree. Was there for for both acts but was slightly disappointed with Amaranthe whereas BTB feel like they have stepped up a gear since I last saw them. If I'm honest, I'd have been quite happy if Amaranthe still couldn't have performed and BTB did an extended set
This song is growing on me. I didn't like it that much the first time I listened to it, but then I listened a few more times, and bought the album, and I'm liking it more and more.
This song just kicks ass. Definitely my favorite "newer" symphonic metal band. Beyond the Black gives me hope that the genre will continue strong with new blood.
Got to admit, this band is one of the best, if not THE Best discovery I made during covid, I think it's time for me to start buying Beyond the Black albums, I absolutely love Jennifer's voice, and the music it's accompanied by. I love the unique instrumental hook. I've never heard anything quite like it and it really works in building tension, almost like an alarm going off in an abandoned landscape.

Another great one - absolutely love BtB. I don't know if anyone else hears it, but the music (to me) is like what Savatage was doing around Gutter Ballet through Edge of Thorns. Cinematic, huge, dynamic music made all the more amazing by Jennifer Haben's vocals. Can't wait for the full album.
Never actively listened to this band before seeing them live last week after Amaranthe. Show was absolutely fantastic. This is one of the bands that's much better live. Would recommend seeing!

Jennifer has a rare talent for thinking interesting melodies with almost a pop aesthetic but recognizable as metal at heart. The song can work both in a pop radio AND live at Wacken.
Great tune! Lotta excellent riffs and hooks and melodies in this... and the vocals almost have an 80s Pat Benatar edge at some points... really wonderful work.

This song reminds me of one of their songs of their current album Horizons, can't pick point which one but its a class song with out a doubt.. Jennifer Haben is one of the best female. Vocalists on the symphonic metal scene . Beyond the black are just so underated in my opinion . I fell in love with her vocals the first time I heard her . I'm a big fan of withintemptation & similar bands like Edge of paradise . To many to mention . While floor from withintemptation gets a lot of recognition for being the best vocalist on the scene Jennifer in my opinion is floors equal . At this stage I actually prefer beyond the black so far as there stuff is heavier than withintemptation . It would be awesome if beyond the black rocked over to Australia at some stage . Hell yeah . Was there yesterday in Paris (same concert); didn't know the band. Their performance was insane, really loved it!
Amaranthe did lose Henrik they will probably never recover from that.He was by far best rap growler.
