How those police reacted was absolutely shocking and disrespectful to that lady,

Another heavy handed overreaction by the police against the law abiding. It’s just not helpful or collaborative policing. Fantastic show as always Charlie and team!

The police situation is really simple. If a malicious call was made, the police need to release the evidence of that call and then arrest the caller for prosecution. If they can’t prove that a call exists in which someone alleged murder, then they lied and that’s as much of an admission you of guilt as you can get. One way or another, this incident needs to lead to criminal charges and civil prosecution.

@Jay-Niner I totally agree, but after a malicious call was made against me, the police made a decision to fine the caller £100 and to go on a course. Never got to court, how does that cover the costs of the armed response unit and all the other numerous police personnel deployed. Also it's not much of a deterrent to avoid it happening again.

Once again brilliant show - the coverage of the event in the Borders with Dave Pullan and Artemis Ladies Deer Stalking was top notch and it was great to be part of it and watch James M at work. Equally calling out the overreaction of the police - especially their behaviour - is essential - this is not acceptable! Well done

Another example of a dangerous overreaction by those we are supposed to be able to trust. Compensation should be huge and from their pockets.

It seems to me that the police need better training. What an ordeal that women had to go through.
I hope the police involved get some sort of reprimand for that and the person who made the malicious call to the police get charged for doing so.

That rifle barrel/moderator waving around in Dave’s face was not the best example of gun safety.

As said previously, there needs to be a more fitting punishment for false and malicious calls made to police which ends in armed response units being deployed, resulting in the victim being traumatised by such events.
In my own experience as a victim of such a false allegation, the resulting punishment for the person who wasted police time was just £100 and attending a course. This was a police decision and didn't even go to court.

I agree 100% that the police are far too heavy handed, but she is really making the most of this...
Sleepless nights, WIPLASH, SEDATIVES, come on.....
At the end of the day, they have to respond if someone calls about gunshots

Unfortunately I have come to believe that the police service is no longer fit for purpose. EG. Over reacting as in this case, failing to turn up to burglaries and other crimes and being over enthusiastic in dealing with so-called "hate" crimes arising from all these modern woke issues, for starters..

  • @janrobertbos

I have tried quite a lot of non-toxic airgun pellets, and they are almost universally bad. At 25 yds I expect almost pellet on pellet accuracy, and with ones like QYS lead pellets that's what I get.
I never ever get that accuracy from lead-free pellets. H & N Barracuda Green almost do it, but these don't deform on impact. They'll go through a centimetre of pine and not deform.
Definitely not a pellet for hunting with. Garden plinking yes (so as not to contaminate the garden), live animals no.

Makes me laugh that they are worried about shooting but are quite happy for every grain of flour we eat to have been sprayed with roundup just before harvest! It's where half our modern illness comes from.

Great episode, but 3:24 … short men a women should always carry their rifle muzzle down so they don’t shoot us. Tall men should carry their rifle muzzle down as it is well clear of the ground anyway.

The police looks very undisciplined like they didnt know what to do. 99% of the time the calls are a waste of time but for the 1% they are needed I can understand what they do. However they didnt listen to what she said. And on another hand.. yes it's stressfull etc but the woman is milking the situation in my opinion
