Farthest shot i've taken is over 100yd, i just took the crossbow to the range on hirschfelden and marked down the ranges and arrow drop👌🏽 wind push is the only hard part to account for
I took a giant level 7 red stag with my 50 inline at 126 yards and scored 202.

I adjusted my TAA and my field of view today on my console for the 1st time in 4 years and it helped IMMENSELY!

Congrats on piebald🎉. Love your approach to the game and keeping it as real as possible. Since I’ve gotten older the past five years that’s what I’ve been using IRL.
Currently hunting with a Barnett trac shooting at 430 fps, 100 gr fixed broadheads. 3x scope Not a fan of mechanicals.
My max range is 50 yards and that better be standing broadside in an open field. My realistic hunting range is 40 yards or less.
Yes hundred yard shots can be made in perfect conditions, but we all know typically hunting is never the perfect condition. And too much can happen during the flight travel. Deer duck down, step forward, wind, massive arrow drop. Just not the most ethical shot shooting at 100 yards.

You’re not wrong about a 100yd shot being risky but I’ve seen it happen many times. My uncle has a Raven and he can shoot 90 yds like 30
I love using the crossbow. Just because you can zoom in without holding your breath. Only negative is that I used to be able to get a follow up shot with the bow, crossbow takes too long to reload.

I own both a crossbow an a compound an several sling bow an I watch alot of crossbow hunting an do a lot of research an most people will never take a shot past 40 -45 with a modern crossbow meaning reverse limbs longer draw

Hey DD I just wanted to let you know when ever bow hunting in call of the wild always bring a gun so if a big animal is out of bow range u can shoot it with a gun

10 hors in hcotw and just got my first diamond. its a blue wildebeast also managed to grab an albino pronghorn on silver ridge and a piebald cow moose on medved

Your content continues to be very entertaining, but it's mystifying how there are still nuances to this game that you maybe don't understand? The higher-scoring animals are always more alert and less susceptible to calling. Also, it's a little crazy that you think it is ethical to take 100 yard shots IRL with a modern crossbow, but you haven't taken the time to learn just how incredibly easy it is to hit at 70 yards with the crossbow, in the game. Just a little time at the bow range on PF and you can easily figure it out.

@@TheHunterDD33 - I'm glad you're finally figuring out how effective the crossbow can be. You've spent years telling everyone it wasn't any good. It's silly that the game gives it a weight advantage over the bow (with range-finding site) but that's just how it is. The crossbow is always part of my load-out, for a variety of reasons. I'm sure you're going to only get better with it.
