✔ HOW TO PLAY
On each turn, players name a person plus a relevant category - that person and category are then forbidden. If you're caught naming someone who falls under any previous category, you're out of the game.

Mark Watson's "People who you've definitely met" matrix is vast and dangerous for all.

The Lizzo category brings up an interesting academic discussion. How might one name the same person twice in one game of no more jockeys? After Mark names the category, he could then make Lizzo aware of who he is and therefore name her a second time. If done slyly, this could be quite the lure. I call this move the Double Agent Opening.
On the BTL Discord, we have text NMJ games that sometimes tend towards the convoluted, and we've on occasion we've had categories like "no more people whose birthday is today", and then played the same person in the same game the next day.
I've seen the 'games' and it's a couple of social rejects not playing this game at all, hours between turns. It's literally the dregs of humanity. Key doesn't call it a cesspit for no reason.
Maybe we could start a game here that you'll find more entertaining. I'll go first: Frank Simon... No more people who get irrationally angry at people having fun on the internet

To get back on track: Anthony, is it not already part of the rules that a name can't be repeated? It's so often the ruling games of this kind that I assumed it was explicitly so, but maybe it's just implicit to having ever previously stated person be a member of a disqualified group.

I agree with Alex Horne. He is the Sampras of this game, and his self deprecating self awareness only reinforces my belief that he is toying with us all.

My brother had a similar mannerism as a symptom of autism actually. We're both on the spectrum but I didn't quite have the same prefacing mannerism.
This was, when you think about it, a really nice and good episode.

I will never tire of Key's ability to immediately interpret the categories in the opposite way that they should be.
And it's good to see Old Mumma Flyboy back to his fighting ways - he had some exits without a fight recently but he was not having that "in her hair"/"on her hair" play from Horne. This is the Key we know and love.
But, when you think about it, the most impressive thing from this episode was Watson pulling two Kent's out of his arse without hesitation. That is a season NMJ pro right there, a worthy winner this week.

I think Horne is very funny and seems like a lovely person, but he did briefly become the villain of the episode with the 1-2 punch of first denying us our first ever GIF category (and oh man did I want to see a debate over how fast someone was going in a GIF) followed by closely by saying he (along with Key) had never heard of Lizzo. Thank god he introduced us to the crucial phrase "job shorts" before the end to pull himself back from the brink of villainy...
Wasn’t there a GIF category in one of the live shows? Something about ‘no more gifs of them dancing’. Baloo, Ovid, and Cromwell were involved

Honestly, if the level was Grealish's headband, Carey's hat (which logically would have had bobby pins holding it on beyond the hat itself) was a walker.
I would like to see on either side of the Mark the random previous rules that have come up. It would be funny to see if any of those rules get broken without people noticing it

Other than that, I've heard what you've had to say, and I have to say that the rushing through the names idea is what I'd describe as "tinkering with the format".I would however love a compilation of all unfinished sentences and conversations ahead of each episode, just to set the mood before things get to the point where we're all what I'd consider "nicely settled in". We need some mental preparation for these games, especially now we're headed for the shakeup centre, and who knows where we're being taken next. We might even be ambling towards the meat grinder as far as I'm concerned.
