We visited Tegalalang Rice Field. This place is magical, its so nice to walk around the rice paddies, and enjoy the spectacular view. We took also some drone videos.
When you come to Bali, this place is a must visit. Is just 15/20 minutes from Ubud.
As Bali now is very quiet, if you come early in the morning, you can see the beautiful sunrise and you can be sure that there are not many people around.
After the walk you can have a nice coffee in one of the coffee shops, with a spectacular view.

How is to fly drones over the fields, did you ask for permission?

Hey there! To fly a drone here you don’t need any special permit, nor the size of your drone matters. It’s just simple, respect the privacy of the people and fly carefully.
Other than that, expect some kids to approach you and they will be very interested to see how the drone works. Enjoy!!

I would say YES, the closest I remember is beginning of November it should be the planting time, so not the nicest to look at.

very good video, but in the real world, the rice terraces are more of a tourist stampede. :)
I totally agree, however, this specific rice field we knew the owners and they provided a living for the entire family by selling the rice not much counting on the donations.
Not forgetting, one of the sons is in Switzerland 🇨🇭 studying. How amazing is that?
