  • Customer stated the vehicle has no throttle response and left him stranded, after calling our tow company and getting the car to shop we checked codes and ran a few test.. so watch the video and if anyone else has this code you to will know how to cure this problem, so stick around and watch till the end.. we are new and just trying to get started on you tube! Any positive feedback would be awesome!😃

Hey Dan. Yesterday for a first step, as related by another TH-cam page, I removed the gas pedal as you guys did. I then removed the sensor cover (2 philips screws) and sprayed all the electric points including both ends of the electric plug with $14 can of Electronic Cleaner. After everything fully dried (not long at all) I reinstalled everything and it now works like I just drove off the lot. Yesterday's price for the whole pedal assembly was $302.95. I thnkfully didn't need a new one for my 2005 Forester with 220,000+ miles. Awesome video all the same. Thanks.

Hola! Se soluciono con el cambio.?
Me puede compartir donde compro el pedal y el valor, por favor.
Tengo el mismo problema en un Outback 2004..al parecer es un fallo de fabrica .

How did you figure out it was the pedal, not the throttle body side? The main sensors are in the electronic throttle control?

The P2138 code is 'Throttle /Pedal position switch D /E voltage correlation' - But I had this code come up and changing the pedal has not fixed it

@@ConcreteSheep that’s why I’m asking this user the question. Before changing the pedal, you need a volt meter to test the pedal or the right OBD2 scan tool to test the response from the pedal.

@@GregoryBaker Did you have any luck sorting yours?

@@ConcreteSheep yes, mine was the pedal. But before I replaced it, I had a mechanic confirm with a scan tool. My scan tool isn’t good enough to show that info. It has to be able to show both TP% readings, not just the one. Did you replace with OEM pedal?
