Brandy was involved in an ACCIDENT it wasn’t intentional AT ALL
It’s insane to me that Brandy was so insecure - at 8yrs old I FANTASIZED about being able to look just like her. If I could have switched faces with ANYONE it would have been her. She was the first celeb that I idolized as far as in appearance . She was breathtaking to me! To hear her say on Oprah that she felt her skin needed to be lighter and hair longer, etc just KILLS ME. Her dark skin, wide smile, wide set eyes, braided hair - was everything I fell in love with about her. It’s what MADE HER SO BEAUTIFUL to me. ❤️✨
It was partially because she was bullied for the way she looked the kids would tel her she looked like ET and her school counselor told her that she wasn’t drop dead gorgeous like Vanessa Williams when she was 8

Brandy rear-ended Awatef Aboudihaj, causing Awatef to impact the car in front, and then lose control and swerve. It is also a fact, that Brandy failed to slow down. I understand why Brandy received so much blame for the accident. At the same time, Awatef was also to blame as well. According to a highway patrol, Awatef actually struck the car in front of her and then slammed on her brakes, before Brandy hit her. Plus, Awatef had tracks of marijuana in her system at the time of the crash.
Thinking about her self esteem now that its mentioned here, i remember reading an article in seventeen back in the day when her first CD came out & they always had like 10 questions that the artist would answer in their handwriting, and a question about her appearance came up, she answered "my eyes are too far apart" I remember thinking huh? and I looked, and agreed. I never even noticed until she mentioned it! I think no one did, and even if they did, no one cared. She had the voice, the style, the wholesome image. She had it all

It wasn't just an accident somebody lost their life in it, that changes the dynamics of the entire situation that you can't just let go no matter how long ago it's been. I'm not trying to put a scarlet letter on Brandy over anything because I've always adored her but it's a case of involuntary manslaughter & somebody caused it. Families sue over accidents like this all the time especially when there's no charges being pressed over it for anything, it's not just her or because of her celebrity status. Situations like this always turns into a nightmare for everybody all the time when it's caused a death & many average people still get locked over it for many years of their life anyway.

thanks for posting this! I actually wanted to start watching Moesha to see if it aged well but if it ends on a cliffhanger like that then I'll just pass. I hope it gets a reboot so whatever loose ends can be properly concluded. I'm wondering given that car accident, what Ray J did to Kim plus WHAT?! he and Whitney went out?! and Brandy because of her wholesome image, her being a goody-two-shoes which to a large extent she was in real life and she never at the start went for the oversexualized image, that Ray J's scandals, her car accident and having a kid apparently out of wedlock and not being honest about her relationship with the father of her child did that damage her public image? and Brandy fans apart from the 1st two albums, is anything she did after full moon worthy of getting?
😩On the set of Moesha once they found out that Frank was about to become a liar they should of made a decision to end the show right then without recording a tragedy that was not needed in the first place. The agenda to destroy a positive black man in this country is real and even in the world of acting. Sheryl Lee Ralph was devastated and they all had the power to say no but I can imagine the price to be paid would result in being blackballed unfortunately so. At some point in life it should be no amount of money that should come between destroying a positive legacy like the one that was built with the show Moesha. It was just so sad to see it end that way.😞
