Olli at that time still maintained the idea of Reckless Love, and having two bands at the same time (besides having to travel between Sweden and Finland) would not be possible.
@@LB00146 No. Dave committed suicide because it went wrong with drugs and alcohol, the band was divided a second time for Dave and he didn't make it through. Olli left because he was and still is in Reckless Love. He made a show with Crashdiet in 2019 singing along Gabriel Keyes. Simon left in the middle of their Japan tour, saying in 2019 that would be silly to not saying it was fabulous.
I don't think Ollie could have continued singing in this gravelly style for long. Even now, I think he's lost some of his singing ability courtesy of his stint in Crashdiet. He sounded good on the Reckless Love debut, but it seems on the latest album there's more deliberate distortions in the vocal tracks. Just one man's opinion, of course. Peace, John
to the people saying they sound bad live. yes, this performance isn't great. was suprised at ollie's vocals. but it could have been timing. sometimes bands sound great live cos theyv been rehearsing or bad because theyv been too busy. But the latest singer that was on the generation wild album. live versions with him singing sound really good! I like ollie a lot he's a good singer but i think the newer guy is much more professional than the previous two.
Don't agree at all. I think Ollie simply wasn't comfortable in Crashdïet. When you listen to Reckless Love you can tell he never uses this kind of vocals anymore. He's softer, with high notes but not rough, and even though I love The Unatractive Revolution I think he's better out there. Simon, on the other hand, he fits perfectly with the band style, but you can find also that there are many live versions where he doesn't sound very well. I don't think he's a bad singer, but he needs to take more care because he sounds many times like he's ill or have been to much partying, so he loses his voice often. I think Dave was better live. Maybe not so prefessional, as you say, but he sounded really true, and knew how make people enjoy like he did. Just my humble opinion. :)
I agree with you. I was about to say the same thing. Olli is great, but Simon fit better in this band. Olli's place is in Reckless love. You can see him totally comfortable and 100% himself
well, why are you even listening to this if they are so crap???? if you listen to old rock bands they almost never sounded good live! But that is rock! you just play from your heart, and it doesn´t matter how it sounds! I agree that a band not should sound too bad because people pay to see them, and they crashdiet might need to practise more, but they are professional, and they really can play!!!
? where did you hear that? Nothing has happened to their lineup since Simon left. You might be thinking of Crazy Lixx losing their guitarist to Hardcore Superstar years ago
again, where did you read that? There's nothing about it on Crazy Lixx's site, nothing on Crashdiet's website and nothing on either of their Wikipedia pages
@recklesscrashdiet im sorry to crush your picture of cd, but the are aweful live. and in fact i do know how hard it can be to play a gig. but if you perform like shit it's because you play like shit or that you haven't rehearsed enough, you can't blame it on being hard. I've played loads of crappy gigs and that was because me and my band sucked back then. but after rehearsing enough we stopped sucking. the reason that cd sucks is the poor choices of singers imo. have a nice day.
Wow. Its crazy to go down this time warp... Seeing how young all these guys were!
Ollie was such agreat fill in for CrashDiet after Dave passed away.
RIP Dave ✌️✌️
That BASS!
Love the hesitated applause in the end 😂
Ollie was a good frontman, and a kind guy. :-) So many years passed and still don't know (or do not remember) why he left.
Olli at that time still maintained the idea of Reckless Love, and having two bands at the same time (besides having to travel between Sweden and Finland) would not be possible.
Every singer leaves crash diet bc theyre bullies. Thats suppsoedly why Dave committed suicide.
@@Vixinaful Is that true!? They are on their 4th singer now and I've always wondered why they have went through so many singers

What happent with Simon? Tried to Google and TH-cam but cant really find anything.... They all is and was great... RIS
I live in America, I used to like it here. Now not so much, I wanna move where there's bands like this.
With skid row t-shirt the influence is obvious, great band.
They aren't so bad live ... i've seen them live last month and it was awsome and they sounded very good.
Awesome cool jam yeah 🤘😆🤘🎸🎸🎤🥁
They dislike people is not enough raw

Olli's vocal has changed now! Wow

And now, Gabe, a refresh
Hi David Lee Roth I mean Olli

@xXLuciferDarkheartXx Totally agree with u, it would be so boring if they sounded perfect live! (:
Motley Crue, Telsa, and RATT.
None of the above lol. You, obviously, didn't grow up in the 80s or wasn't a fan of the scene. Obvious Faster Pussycat, LA Guns influence.
@@johnstrika9170 I grew up in the 1980s. That is top 40 mainstream not amateur hour. I don't know what type of drugs you were on.
@@johnstrika9170 Another fact I listened on and off on WAAF Worcester 107 FM in the 1980s and I am from NE CT.
Olli's performance wasn't good but he really rocks
damn, olli was such a fit in the band... too bad it didnt work out well
Le falta fuerza y virtuosismo.
@Itriedtoflyonce no they don´t! no band is perfect live, and i agree that they doesn´t sound perfect, but I guess you don´t know how difficult it is!
The pink guitar man but seriously, Ollie isnt a good singer of this type of music. Its too loud and hard for his type.
funny voice but steel good
Who's the guitarist these days ? Heard they lost their guitarist to crazy lixx
? where did you hear that? Nothing has happened to their lineup since Simon left. You might be thinking of Crazy Lixx losing their guitarist to Hardcore Superstar years ago
Stefan Nita .. the guitarist from this band joined crazy lixx about sixx months back to replace the other two who left . Long haired blond guy .
again, where did you read that? There's nothing about it on Crazy Lixx's site, nothing on Crashdiet's website and nothing on either of their Wikipedia pages
Stefan Nita I made a mistake.. it was bai bang he came from .. no idea why I thought that .. cheers for correcting me
It is impossible as Martin Sweet is co-founder. Without him, there is no Crashdiet
