in ten years I've asked my Madama to do me one favor and she did!.. keep my son who she loves off a motorbike i don't ask i just love my Madama xx she is part of the family and she just does develop you without asking ... ahhh mine is like a soft grandma but so powerful in my life
Thank you for a very educational, and informative lesson on the Madama spirits and the African spirits. Your lesson is the best I have seen or heard yet. I recently purchased a Madama statue but I have not cleaned it yet or put on my altar, waiting till I feel it's right.
Yes i did love the video! Wow took me way back to my days in Mass. I miss my negritas i use to have em. But i learn something new today. Thank's! You need to move here! We need you need you here!! :)
This is a wonderful and very informative video - thank you so much! I was surprised to hear of the Hoodoo portion; as a practitioner of Hoodoo, I’ve never heard of such - putting La Madama in a cauldron - but there are plenty of people claiming our traditions without merit or proper training; all loud and wrong. Thank you again for sharing - many blessings to you!
Thank you we are looking for your next video for the Caldero espiritual so that we can learn what to put in the cadero. Sorry for all the comments but it's amazing to see a wonderful soul share and teach in such a concise and pure manner! My spirits are grateful to you and yours.... thank you
Dancing Moon thank you I appreciate that comment, yes I'm sorry there are certain things I can't speak of or show on video such as making a Caldero Espiritual, such things are tabu and must be learnt from a God parent. Like I show the statues but I never show the empaque or how to make them I show more how one can protect themselves spiritually.
Lol the fact I used to think these were decorations 😂.. I remember my family having these until they went into Christianity.. no wonder I was never allowed to play w them or even go near it lol.
Thank you for the information. I love your videos. When you shook the maraca and rang bell together and put bell back something flew up. Very interesting.
How do you get back your La Madama , that someone nasty that tie her from me I was those in a mesa a week ago , that why I cry and going threw some hard time because of that ? thank you for the video.
Just because they are from the new world doesn’t mean African descended people were necessarily slaves. For example, The first black people to step foot in Puerto Rico were free black militiamen called “Libertos”
will do so for her feast day, which sadly wount be until july 29. í respect all Misterios, but do not serve them all. you are lucky she is a Lwa / Misterio i honor, but again that video wount be until the summer. unless í find one in my archives because í dont post all the videos í record . if í find one i might post. if not wount be until her Feast Day sorry.
Thank you for this video, any chance you can do a video in english about Santeria and the IFA Yoruba tradition. It is my innerstanding that IFA/Yoruba Tradition is where it all came from. Thanks for all you do, with love & honor.
Doesn't bother me. I have relatives that look like that. Very dark and they're big ladies and don't care. Maybe there's something spiritual worth investigating for you.
I had thought about this too, EppicChick. The thing is these spirits have a following. They are not necessarily what you think them to be. They are not stereotypes like Aunt Jemima or the Indian girl on the Land O’ Lakes box. And I think their history can go much farther back than slavery in America. I think she can be who you want her to be. I see Marie Laveau in La Madama. Marie was not a slave. She was a free African American woman who served her community like a healer and is said to have been a witch. Her spirit is powerful. And she is protective. She likes the attention that is given here to La Madama. And she appreciates being remembered. Maybe we could say that these were actual people who’s spirits have been called upon for protection and help. It’s a personal relationship. That is why he does not mention names.

Hello
Just cant get over the la madama looks so racist and brings out anger in me.
