This song is so Gorillaz. Normally when listening to their music I can only picture Damon singing, but this one really makes me envision 2-D as the voice behind it.
I think for me any song where he sings falsetto I only imagine 2-D. (And many of the Humanz tracks where he's singing through that speaker device that makes it slightly more electronic and muffled)
Well during the debut album, Damon was really trying to sounds like 2D in the songs but he decided to stop in demon days, which is sad because I really like his voice in the debut
i like both because the higher voice totally sounds like him. but i also love the idea that he could go from his voice in the eel g-bite to his parts in the song saturnz barz.
This album is really the only one that plays with the members maybe being real, as it builds the kind of world they live in, and is one of a few albums to name the characters directly in the lyrics
For anyone who doesn’t know, this song samples the song “In the Hall of the Mountain Queen”, an old electronic song by composer Raymond Scott from the compilation album “Manhattan Research”.

It's about 2-D's life being shit. He hates it. He wants to leave but he cant. Murdoc has him stuck with him until the day he dies. He uses drugs to ease the pain. All these food references might be due to the fact that 2-D is high and has the munchies. The lyrics "to kill the model from my door" or alternatively "to keep the man away from my door" these lyrics might indicate that 2-D is paranoid from the drugs he's taking. He feels like someone's watching him. Probably just murdoc though, making sure he doesn't do anything stupid, because we all know 2-D isn't the brightest man alive. "I got sunshine, I got you" sunshine might also be a drug reference. As we know, in the song "clint Eastwood" 2-D says "I got sunshine in a bag" which many believe the term "sunshine" to mean weed or some other form of drug. As for the "bring me junkie in the love" part, I'm not sure what it means. A Junkie is someone who abuses hardcore drugs (meth, coke , heroine and all that) maybe he's referring to himself? I'm not for sure though. Lastly I want to talk about the lyrics "he said nothing in the tongue" I think this has something to do with murdoc and 2-D's relationship. 2D always said what was on his mind. Some things being offensive to murdoc. Every time he does, he got hit by murdoc. So 2D learned to keep his mouth shut "he said nothing" as when saying "he" 2D is talking about himself. But that's just what I think. I might be completely wrong. But I know for a fact it's about drugs. Hope this helps.

I reallly miss this Deamon voice ;/
He got older.
Dav Brine I like 04-07
Legion1377 I love his voice in plastic beach. Everyone ages, same with Damon
He can still do the falsetto voice, I think, but chooses not to (it's probably more difficult for him now).
Caleb Jaaniste very possible
I Love Gorillaz ⚘♥️
Currently speeding down a highway with the scent of landfill in the car at 11:15 pm two days before Christmas 2023 while my mom tries not to crash the car through the thick fog and pouring rainstorm.
10/10 vibes
@@MoMotaroDaisuke yep

His voice is so weird in this I love it more than anything
Un morro de 11-12 años, escuchando esta canción en sus Discman, haciendo la tarea de la escuela, escuchando: «Ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye, ye-eah». De mis canciones favoritas, siempre.
2-D: "This is a breakfast club!"
Me: "This is a breakfast club sandwich "🥪
Why is this song so fire?!
Idk why but 2d saying “THIS IS A BREAKFAST CLUB!” Is just so cute to me.
For close to two decades, I always thought 2-D said, "This is our very first club!" instead of "This is the Breakfast Club!"
Because of that, I always pictured that this was supposed to be a recording of the band's first live performance and 2-D was just so pumped up lol
Lmao
takes you somewhere beyond
to the realm of the Plastic Beach XD XD
I love how this song fits perfectly with my vibe
Lyrics:
THIS IS THE BREAKFAST CLUB
(I’m really not sure here)
Ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya Yah Yaaah
Yeah yeah!
(Repeat many times)
Bro, this music is just "YEA,YEA,YEA,YEA,YEA,YEA,YEA"
