Sir gain karne vaale ko to credit karna chahiye, aur jiska account sacrifice hota hai usse debit karna chaahiye tha, according to rule of debit and credit of capital account, so why we did that??

the net effect of both the entries are always same
gaining partners capital ac dr
to sacrificing partners capital ac
raise and written off
raise means distribution of goodwill
therefore we will distribute goodwill among partners in old ratio
goodwill ac dr
To all partners capital ac
written off means the firm is deducting the shares of partners goodwill from
partners capital ac and therefore from firms point of veiw they are taking their share of goodwill to their home

Nothing comes free to anyone... So the gaining partner has to pay for the gain in share and similarly sacrificing partner get compensation for his sacrifice in share.. Debit reduces capital and credit increase it.

@@mohdhasan7473 bro here the case says there is change in profit sharing ratio... Due to change in the ratio of PSR... The partner who was earing more before the change in PSR..now due to change in PSR... He will not earn as much as earlier he was earning and the partner who was earing less before the PSR may be will earn more now... So the gaining partner will compensate the effective amount which sacrificing partner will not get due to change in PSR and the amount which the sacrificing partner will loose will be compensated by gaining partner... I hope ur doubt has been cleared now...that's why gaining partner a/c will be debited and sacrificing partner capital a/c will be credited
