If you end up with comforters, blankets etc that you don't have any use for try your local animal shelter the ones around here are always needing bedding and towels for the kennels.
@Tn wild man Dog and Cats are needy and Homeless And People Shelters Don't always take Bedding unless they can clean it the worse problem they have is bugs and communicable diseases like Strep which can stay on bedding for months. We moved to Atlanta and had to stay at a street shelter. My son got Strep Throat because another child had had it and they gave us their room.
Just wondering if anybody caught the irony in this? He says you probably don't want to watch me go through a bunch of clothes, but about 50% of his videos are us watching him go through clothes, at the thrift store. Love it. You seem to do well with storage lockers.
Dude. That wooden drawer organizer needs to go to the flea market. I would buy it for sure. They are expensive in stores. Thrifty women like me would see it as a find and clean it up, touch it up and put it to good use. You can use them in your garage to organize things too. Love these kind of videos you are doing. So fun to anticipate what you are going to find. Thank you for bringing us along with you. Godspeed.
Cutlery racks are used by people to organise draws, blankets give to animal shelters, some stuff you would throw out would get you money or help shelters! X
Taco I can explain why you have trash mixed in with regular items. It's called eviction. Guy doesn't pay rent so landlord takes him to court so guy is legally evicted but has no place or money to store his stuff and so he leaves it there making it the landlord's problem. Well the law in many states is that the landlord has to put the former tenant's belongings into storage for so long in case he comes back for it. Once the imposed time period comes and goes the landlord is no longer responsible for the goods. The reason you have a mix of trash and items is because when the landlord goes in to pack it up he or she is not going to really care what gets packed where so it all gets lumped together.
Eddy A. Makes perfect sense. I see where, evidently, landlords clean out and just pile everything on the street, not even bagged, just piles of furniture, clothes, trash... all in a heap. So sad and wasteful!😕
Eddy A. Here in CA you have to store it for I believe 30-60 days. When we purchased our house the previous tenants left behind tons of stuff, some I guess usable, some trash. We bagged it all. Our real estate agent had to put it into storage. I’m sure when the time period is up, many just don’t pay and leave it to the storage facility to deal with.
I love storage units I did get my first one in March and did really well with it Can't do any right now so love to watch other people go through them I want another unit lol Badly Oh and freaked my son out the other day Driving down the road I saw a pile of scrao abd said You know we should pick that up ROFL the look on his face Made my day

thank you for posting this sarah. i made a comment and told him n other viewers to check their states rules. in pa, you can deduct donations from your tax return. it adds up. year my dad passed , i made over 230$ extra. sorry, dont mean to sound disrespectful with that. but donations to humane society help too. ours is always in need of stuff to resell and use for the critters.
Just a side note. The things you call “dust pans” are brooms used for sweeping. A dust pan is used to pick up the dirt as you sweep it into the dust pan.
The Mouse if it were me, I would want to be corrected so I don’t continue through life calling brooms “dustpans”. And using “dustpan” as a verb. It distracts and detracts from the videos. Just sayin.
Find a solid-made used hand-truck/dolly and just bungee cord it inside the van. You'd be surprised what one person can move with it, would help with a lot of the furniture or bigger pieces.
I watched your hoarder house video. Some advice for future reference, if you ever come across anymore paintings on canvas and it's loose and not tight. Flip it over, get to the back of the canvas, mist it down with water and let it dry. It will tighten the canvas back up. You may need to do it twice depending.
idk if you'll see this but in this unit there was wooden utensil divider for kitchen drawer that you trashed/donated. They can be used for ties, jewelry etc. in dresser or closet organization stuff is hot not many ppl. actually can afford the closet build outs. Things from the container store is very expensive so wooden ones like one in this video good find. Thx. for sharing Taco!
I first started watching these videos from Safiya Nygaard because i saw she did one and i watched it, and now i'm addicted! Now i'm just binge watching them.
Crafters like me are always looking for old dressers and chests etc. for storing supplies. You can get $10 - $25 a piece at flea markets around my area. They also sell well on Craigslist, listed under craft categories. Just an FYI. Alot of pet shelters will take old but washed bed linens and towels.
Sell that drawer divider or put it in those drawers in the back. Kids books especially Golden Books are worth something. Check on the giraffe and those plastic storage containers with the drawers you should be able to get more than 2 dollars out of them.
Great finds. The games alone are worth more than you paid for the storage bin. And the other neat things. If you ever find any craft items please let me know. Good luck on finding more goodies.
In 1990 I set up a storage bin so I could camp out in it for 3-4 days a month. I was out on business travel , 3 weeks out, 4 days back, for 18 months. Everything was along the edges to permit a walkway. Couch on 1 side to permit sleeping. 5 gal bucket for waste products. Bottle water for drinking. Desk opposite couch for bill pay station (pre cell phone era). Most these bins you clean out lack any sort of organization (too bad).
NEAT !!! For $10, your time and your hard work ... I think that there "may" be more money in this storage unit than you think!!! At least I hope so!! PEACE!!!

Black Ops 2 for Xbox 360 is still like $15+, Modern Warfare 2 is like $10, but the rest of the games were only like $1-$3 dumpster diving finds lol Awesome unit for $10!!
COD games depreciate in resell value VERY quickly. They may sell for more, new, but there are just so darn many of them, stores don't buy them for much. Source: I worked at EB Games for 5 or so years.
I was going off of eBay, Black Ops 2 shot back up when they made it backwards compatible on the Xbox One, and they just made MW2 backwards compatible so the price of that one has started to go up again as well.
Donate, Taco. Remember to donate anything usable. Curtains, clothes, bedding. Animal shelters sometimes need towels and blankets too. The dresser drawers are probably designed to be black and not painted. That unit and the nightstand are nice not trash. Consider taking them to a thrift store as well. Or curb them for someone else to grab.
@@jermainerace4156 I guess my area (SoCal) put more value into some furniture than maybe your area... our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore has similar units to that one for sale and they sell for $35-75 depending on the weight, amount of hardware on and hardwood in the piece, color, etc. Wood scratches can easily be colored in with a special furniture stain marker in a matching color made just for that purpose. All that aside, paying it forward and curbing for others is just good karma for one who scraps and gleanes and haggles and bargains for a living.
Good Day! 'Tis. I think those pottery piece you said for candles could be for large stuffed olives--for when entertaining. (Of course they can be entirely different looking than I think they are. If so, my bad.)
The "dust pans" are actually called "Brooms". The small tray you use to push the broom into with the dust is called the "Dust Pan". "Dust Panning" is actually "sweeping".
My cousin and I also bid on auctions, we have done ok. A 2 dollar locker netted us 126.00 one time. It had a class ring in it and we couldn't track the owner. Also a bunch of games. I'll keep watching.
I had a part time job cleaning abandoned apartments. We would take all the stuff in the apt. and put it in a storage shed in case the owners showed up. That is what this looks like. We rarely made our money back on the stuff. Ten bucks wouldn't even cover one month's storage.
Thanks for doing this video in your white shorts. Loving the view! I'd like to see those taco stacks some day ;-) Great job uploading videos. You've got another subscriber here!
I've never done this before and probably never will....BUT, it seems fascinating to me and always makes me want to bid/buy one. Anyhow, thanks for the video and good luck with your future endeavors. :)
Simple question Why didn`t you load all the stuff in the Vanski and do this on your lawn? You would have had SO much more room and you could just put everything in the garage . Have a Great Day!
Once you have won a storage unit in an auction the agreement is you have to take everything with you and clean the storage unit. Just taking what you want and leaving the rest isnt an option because they have your credit card details and they will charge you to empty the storage unit and clean it if you don't do it yourself
Because if you’ve done this enough you know that a LOT (like 90%) are addicts and have paraphernalia mixed in with their crap so you have to be careful.
Great finds guys! Buying Storage Units is our passion. It's great to see others getting involved in it as well!
I have to admit out of all the trash pick up on you tube, yours is the site I love to watch. I sure wish they had good stuff in my town.
I love how he doesn't click bait and keeps the vid simple👏👌🏻
Some people might not like to see clothes and things but I love to see it all!
Yes! The storage auction video. Hope you got lots of cool stuff. Cannot wait to see what you got.

Especially if there is or has been storms & other bad weather
That's a great idea!!!!
Teddles Peddles, homeless people typically get a LOT more donations of things blankets than animal shelters do.
