I found your channel and videos that allowed us to listen in the car. She hasn’t finished quite yet, but I couldn’t put the book down last night and went ahead and finished. It is an amazing novel with so much rich history. The imagery this author uses is incredible. We also read The Sign of the Beaver by the same author, but this one takes the cake! Thanks again!!
Jennifer Johnson I 100% agree that TWOBP is better than SOTB (I love that book too, though it’s got its problems). I’m surprised this was on the list for a third grader, as it’s a pretty high level, but I’m really glad you and her enjoyed it just the same. I dunno, I believe everyone should read this book once every five years anyway. Every time I read it (every year), I get so much out of it, and different, new things every time.
